Polk's Monitor Series has been the gold standard of speakers since the 1970's. The new Polk Audio Monitor series is a quality-built, affordable line of high performance loudspeakers for music and home theater. Among the new Monitor series speakers, the Monitor 25C is a high efficiency center channel speaker which delivers more detailed high frequency response for more realistic imaging. The heavy duty enclosure is reversible for more flexible placement options above or below your television. The Monitor 25C is available with black and cherry wood grain finish, with titanium faces. The stylish look complements today’s flat screen technology.

Multiple small-diameter driver design The Monitor 25C is equipped with three small-diameter drivers (one 1-inch dome tweeter and dual 5 1/4-inch midrange drivers). This design delivers wide dispersion, better mid-range, and more detailed bass response for an open, "box-less" three-dimensional sound. Plus, crossovers use Mylar bypass capacitors for more detailed high frequencies.
Enclosure enables greater sound and flexible placement Non-resonant all-MDF enclosure construction with 3/4-inch thick baffles ensures cleaner, clearer, more lifelike sound quality. Enclosure is reversible for optimal placement above or below your television screen.
Dual 5-way binding post connectors Dual 5-way binding post connectors allows for more secure hook-up options, as well as bi-wiring and bi-amping flexibility.
Critically tuned flared port Critically tuned flared port minimizes port noise ("chuffing") for good low frequency extension with low distortion, resulting in natural, full-bodied sound with rich bass.

Replaced a smaller center channel with this one (make sure to measure your space as this is large) and it makes vocals and speech much louder & clearer! Cons: None, according to Polk the Egg is an authorized dealer so warranty applies. Other Thoughts: I matched my bookshelf Monitor 40s with this center and could not be happier! Audyessey turns it down -6db because of it. it's big and looks awesome sitting there Cons: absolutely NONE Other Thoughts: Replaced onkyo htib speakers that were 10 years old. This is the perfect center channel for the Monitor 75T floorspeakers. I have two PSW-505 subs and RT-800 floorspeakers for surrounds. These are driven by an Onkyo TX-NR609 receiver. I have a Plasma 50" Panasonic and once the Audyysey 2EQ completed setting up the room acoustics and I readjusted the Speaker config to all THX, the rooms comes alive and is incredible to hear and see no matter what type of source material. Blu-ray/DVD Movies, Music Video, CD Audio, ROKU Streaming 1080P, or Cable/Broadcast TV. No issues. I use all HDMI interfaces between equipment and Dayton Audio SCP Speaker Cable with Bananas on all speakers. Mediabrige coax for the LFE input on the subs. Cons: Size is only an issue if you have a very small home theater or did not measure your installation location before purchase. 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful. Did you? Cons: I don't find this as a "Con" but some people might. This center is FREAKING HUGE!!! To give you an idea. Other Thoughts: Honestly Think before you buy this. I mis read the description and though it was just a nicer version of the 15C. It's not. This thing is a monster. I don't know an entertainment center avalible that will house this speaker. Unfortunatly it's also no return. Rather that plan a whole new tv stand and setup around it, it was best to cut my loss and buy the correct speaker. I have been unable to sell or even give this thing away. It is literally that big.
