Polk Audio Patio25 High Fidelity Outdoor Loudspeaker Pair

Pros: Seriously? The 1st reviewer has to be a woman! what has any of this to do with the quality of the speakers, whether rings your bell or not?

Technically, these 6½" speakers are awesome compared to most outdoor chintzy speakers... Much more bass, clearer midrange and noticeable highs. The neighbors will soon be miffed with me, but then I'll turn them down at night.

Hardest thing was running the wiring in the attic. Attached to outdoor speaker volume control and voila! Success and great sound around the pool, patio and BBQ.

Comes in Black and White, easily paintable aluminum housing.

Cons: If anything, it's larger than the others... But sure, it has to be to house the bigger and clearer speakers.

Pros: They sound great and were much easier to mount than my comparable JBL outdoor speakers. The bass extension is acceptable and the highs are clear enough. This is an outdoor speaker so don't expect concert hall quality. That said, it's still Polk and I'm happy.

Cons: Like the reviewer before me, the package arrived beat to pieces. It was taped over where the box had broken and the box was still falling apart! If the "stealth drop" hadn't been used by the delivery company, I would have refused it based on how damaged it looked. Lucky for me, nothing was missing and the speakers weren't damaged.

Other Thoughts: I can only knock a star off for shipping/packaging as the product itself is great and Polk really can't help how newegg or the shipping companies treat their stock. Honestly newegg, you should have sold these as "open box" based on the condition.

Pros: Seems to work

Cons: I do not like those Polk speaker screws that comes with.

Other Thoughts: Here is the 3 stars only and that is because I want to consider it a mistake from Newegg after a client for years.
Polk Patio 25 arrived on time in polk 25 patio box but I am used with Newegg packaging their items and not just deliver an item as is.
Secondly the box was extremely damaged and taped over. To me it sounds like it was an Open box and Repackaged item. Lastly, there was no Polk manual and if any Polk welcome customer, warranty or registration paper comes with, well... they are ALL missing!!!!
No wonder why the delivery guy did the delivery in a stealthy method, no ringing the bell, no knocking at the door, just dropped the box at my door and left without signature of any kind.
I am not happy with this service, not even a bit.
I am redoing the kitchen at this moment, I tested 1 speaker out of 2 and so far it works.

So beware this issue is only targetting me and any more customers would have a shiny box with everything included but then and again beware!
