The classic G-Shock watch goes 21st century! This updated version begins with the shock resistance and water resistance (up to 200M) you expect from the G-Shock, and adds the convenience of solar battery recharging (though even without a single ray of light reaching it, this battery will hold its charge for 11 months!), and automatic time correction, via radio signal, 4 times daily. Without calibration, this G-Shock is accurate to +/- 15 seconds a month. 30-city world time keeping, auto-calendar programmed to 2039, choice of 12- or 24-hour format, and on/off Daylight Savings Time functions. Your G-Shock will help you manage your work day as well as your play time with 4 available daily alarms, snooze, time recorder, and 3-mode stopwatch features. All of this functionality is at your fingertips with easy-to-understand controls, and backlight with Afterglow.

High tech Durability
- Pros: I've had this for a long time now and put it through alot of tests: bike crashes, ocean, pools, airsoft, and etc... The solar and the atomic time are some nice addons for the G-Force series. Oh, it's still working just fine.
- Cons: The atomic receiver is not world wide. Doesn't make milk shakes.
- Other Thoughts: Sorry newegg I didn't buy through you.
Hi-Tech Timepiece
- Pros: It recharges its own battery and it sets the time in sync with the national time standard while you sleep. If I were ever stranded on a deserted island, this is the watch I would want to have with me.
- Cons: Kind of bulky, but it takes space to accommodate all that circuitry.
- Other Thoughts: Although it's kind of bulky, it's a masterpiece in its own right. This watch is a lot of fun for a geek like me. That's why I gave it a rating of five.

Great watch
- Pros: Bought this watch for my cousin. He loves it so much, he sleeps with it. lol
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: G-Shock is the best practical watch out there.
Neat Device
- Pros: Solar powered
-Accurate time via atomic clock in the USA, supposedly so accurate the time will go off by a second after about a billion years (no joke!). -Sturdy construction with Ionized metal & rubber composites. -Rated at 200 Meters
- Cons: -A little bulky.
- Other Thoughts: Has three dials on the top, dial on the left has no purpose, I tried asking Casio what it does, and they said they have no idea. Middle dial tells you how much battery there is. The right dial has a bunch indicators for Daylight Savings, Auto light, and such. I love this watch!
Casio Atomic Solar
- Pros: I own 2 Casio Atomic Solar watches. Plus another one I gave as a gift. I purchased 2 from New Egg.
My oldest Casio Atomic Solar is over 8 years old. Pros: No batteries to change. Automatic setting for time. Much better than more expensive watches that operate on batteries. Watch keeps exact time.
- Cons: In the North East of the U.S. the watch runs down due to early darkness.
Then it goes into a recharge mode for 12 or more hours. Avoid lifting the arm you wear the watch on, as the watch will light up, and use more battery power. That feature is built in for all Casio Atomic Solar models.
- Other Thoughts: Recharge: During daylight when not wearing the watch let the watch recharge on a window sill. When it is dark, recharge the watch with any indoor light source, or even a street lamp.
The Casio Atomic Solar has a life of 47 to 49 years, based on the calendar program inside the watch. Probably can last forever.
