The success of this mini bookshelf speaker comes from the amazing soundstage it delivers. For a speaker of such modest dimensions it can easily fill large rooms with commanding presence. The PLAISIR BOOKSHELF was voiced with a live cello. The aim for the engineers was to get the exact tone from that acoustic instrument out of this little box. Needless to say, the PLAISIR BOOKSHELF has tone to the bone !If you want a true hifi system without the hassle of a big speaker, look no further. The PLAISIR BOOKSHELF can also be used as a surround speaker.
The PLAISIR range optimizes 30 years of experience in loudspeaker development by TRIANGLE. Whatever your taste may be, TRIANGLE PLAISIR speakers will be true to the music you love, from the subtleties of chamber music to the massive dynamics of a rock concert.
The TRIANGLE Research Team has always concentrated on three essential qualities for their drivers: transparency, dynamics and openness. Combined with advanced crossover technology, TRIANGLE PLAISIR speakers will let you feel the music more than ever before. With its timeless design and Wenge finish, the PLAISIR range speaker will easily fit in any home interior.
Titanium dome tweeterThe PLAISIR tweeter makes use of a extra powerful neodymium motor and a titanium dome. The small damping chamber at the back of the dome eliminates backwaves and internal reflections, thus improving detail retrieval in the higher frequencies. The titanium dome produces very rich harmonics, making the PLAISIR speakers excel on strings, cymbals and wind instruments to name a few. Sweet yet detail-rich highs bring air into the music. Advanced crossover layout allow for a seamless fusion of the treble with the midrange and the bass.
Paper cone midrange driverFor the past 30 years, TRIANGLE has always relied upon paper cones for their midrange drivers. The midrange drive unit loaded in the PLAISIR range use all of TRIANGLE’s stand-alone technologies : paper cone (tropicalized to stand high humidity), multi-pleat suspension, oversized motor and phase plug. The result is a natural tone combined with a great sense of openness and transparency : the slightest variations in a voice become obvious, all the intentions of the musicians become clear to you.
High Technology Cross overAll crossovers in the PLAISIR speakers use the RPC technology developed for the MAGELLAN R&D Program. The aim of this crossover layout is to limit phase distortion and to decrease directivity. The RPC technology makes the soundstage more realistic in both width and depth. The speakers vanish and makes room for the music only.
