Mounted this in attic and pulled in over 25 channels as strong signals WITHOUT a preamp and from one compass direction. With preamp, I expect another 10+ channels. Cons: Elements and plastic clips are fragile; be careful opening and mounting. Other Thoughts: This is a good high VHF/UHF antenna. Not for low VHF, but then since digital transition, most low VHF broadcasters have moved to UHF. Check DTV.gov. Signal quality and strength is better than cable AND HDTV is free. Pros: I live about 35 miles from transmitters in Phila OTA market. Mounted this in attic and pulled in over 25 channels as strong signals WITHOUT a preamp and from one compass direction. With preamp, I expect another 10+ channels.
