Pros: Tons of drum sounds, bass sounds. Can be controlled with a midi controller. Low price. great for practice. Has 2 mono outputs for stereo quality. Programable. Pressure sensative buttons. Effects for triplets and so much to work with in a small package.

Cons: All the preset beats have bass lines added. I wouldn't mind this, but before I start writing my own beats I feel I need to knock some rust off my fingers with my guitar. It forces me to play along with the bass. So I'm going to have to make my own beats anyway. It also doesn't sound very realistic. You can definately Hear the electric vibe they put off. But, they sound good enough at $150. At this price, with it's functionality..it's not worth reducing an egg because the drums sound only mostly realistic.

Other Thoughts: Need a cheap machine capable of kicking a beat? this one does that and you can add bass lines. I'm glad I bought it. I plan to use it to get back into playing my guitar again, and record a few simple mixes through my r16 just to toss ideas around, and remember beats and riffs I come up with over the rest of my music playing life. Zoom is just awesome. Period.
