Pros: All features work great just as described.

Cons: Just at the 18 month age it fried shows splash screen then nothing.

Other Thoughts: By all the other reviews I see that the unit only last a little over a year. They have a newer model out now that does not have component video output just hope it works as good as this Model HW150DVR and last longer than 18 months.

Pros: Got great reception, was able to receive Tucson AZ channels from Phoenix AZ.

Cons: Ordered 2 units. First one died after about 12 months. 2nd one just died today, after about 19 months.

Pros: Was cheap. Did everything I needed it to.

Cons: Lasted 1 yr 6 mos. Seems like these breaking before 2 yr of ownership is common.

Other Thoughts: Would like to buy another perhaps, but wish I knew they had fixed the hardware to not make it so fragile.

Pros: nice for recording OTA stuff.

Cons: died after 1.5 years of use.

Other Thoughts: it was great till it stopped outputting video. power light comes on, but no other activity at all.

Pros: Records OTA channels
Uses USB stick/enclosures/hard drives

Cons: Breaks down after warranty
EPG is very cluncky

Other Thoughts: PVR stopped working after 14 months of use. Was just showing the Homeworx boot up screen then all black. Opened it up since its out of warranty, and sure enough, the capacitor blew. Known to be an issue on Mediasonics own forums. Guess I'll try to solder a new one on, can't hurt it anymore.

Pros: Allows old TV to receive ATSC channels, HDMI output

Cons: Not durable; broke in less than a year. Buggy UI. Recordings are corrupt.

Other Thoughts: Re: old review Buyers Beware. Mediasonic RMA finally replied to me after many weeks and just shipped a new unit.

Pros: Transfer recordings to your computer. and play media files on external media.
(Can decode more formats than advertised.)

Cons: Akward EPG.
Corrupts files.
Brakes and turns into garbage.

Other Thoughts: 1 year warranty? Broke after 1 yr + 2months !!

Pros: Could receive ATSC channels while it worked...

Cons: -Buggy firmware and menus : you will crash the unit attempting to browse through the TV guide.
-PVR recordings unreadable : files get corrupt even after the tiniest signal loss.
-Mediasonic RMA doesn't return units under warranty.

Other Thoughts: Bought two, one of them broke after 11 months. My other 150PVR was left unplugged for months but probably doesn't have much time left. After multiple emails to Mediasonic, I received an RMA number and return address. They received the package many days ago and will not answer back to emails anymore. The unit probably had a bad capacitor but I did not want to fix it under warranty. I am now left with a $75+ loss.

Pros: works as described. setup was easy. pulls in all local stations but one low power digital. I haven't tried USB playback or record.

Pros: Tuner is sensitive and picture quality very good

Cons: Not very reliable. Unit died after 8 months.

Other Thoughts: My plasma television has a broken tuner and I bought this in order to receive off-air HD broadcasts. I was very pleased with it while it worked. I had connected it via component inputs as all my HDMI connections were used. Picture quality was great, often rivaling the streaming content from my ROKU box. I am not very happy that it died, however, having read reviews both here and on A****n, it appears that failure of this unit is not uncommon. At least it didn't put a serious dent in my wallet.
