ViewSonic DPG807BK 8" Digital Photo frame
- Pros: Good features, easy to use, nice pcitures, easy to navigate menue, plays videos, has sound, alarm clock, calendar
- Cons: No remote control, which I knew before purchasing. Some users may be frustrated by not seeing the on-frame "buttons". All one has to do is to slide one's finger across the area to light up the"buttons"
- Other Thoughts: I read the owner' manual before I bought. So, I know what I am getting and not I am not getting. I am happy with my choice. I saw a few unfavorable comments about this product. It seems to me that if those consumers take a little time to read the owner's manual (available from VIewsonic's Website) as a source of research before buying and definitely take the time to read the manual bfore using it, they might have a more positive experience. I hope the above is useful to others
- Pros: A beautiful LCD photo frame surrounded by contemporary styling. Easily and quickly transfers photos from my photos to the unit's built-in storage. I have transferred over 100's of photos and there still is plenty of storage available.
- Cons: None at the time of this review.
- Other Thoughts: Like already stated in previous reviews, save storage space and save time in transferring photographs by resizing them to 800x600 resolution.

- Pros: Easy navigation and good quality pics. The finish of the frame itself adds to the appeal. My wife likes it very much. This will help cut down on hanging picture frames.
- Cons: None so far.
- Other Thoughts: This is a great value; I would buy it again.
Get the 1.1.2 firmware update
- Pros: With the 1.1.2 firmware available on the ViewSonic website, this frame now has the option to randomize the slideshow. I previously gave this guy 4 eggs, but now I am completely satisfied. If yours comes with the 1.0.0 firmware, it is easy enough to update.
- Cons: The black acrylic scratches easily.
Nice, contemporary look
- Pros: Good picture quality. Smooth transitions. Nice build quality. Cool buttons.
- Cons: No random slideshow. Not a big deal if you have a few pictures, but if you are like me, and have hundreds of pictures, you want them to be randomized. This is the only thing holding me back from giving this one all five yolks.
- Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a modern take on the digital picture frame, this might be for you. I was tired of the traditional wood frames myself, but that's just my taste.
