Amazing!!!
- Pros: What can I say? Perfect out of the box and will only get better with time. The mids and highs are superb. Lows needs a little help, but this only is a minor flaw. The finish and quality are top notch just as only Swan can bring. If you're mulling over whether about getting these, don't. These are a terrific buy.
- Cons: None.
Fantastic Speakers & Value
- Pros: Everything about this set screams quality. The build, the sound, the packaging it comes in, the subtle beautiful touches. Everything, of course, except the price. The imagine is phenomenal, I have the subwoofer exactly in between the two speakers, and would SWEAR that the vocals come right out of the darn thing. But upon placing my ears up next to it, confirm that they are in fact coming from the left and right speakers.
- Cons: For this price, you really have to nitpick. The volume knob on the subwoofer can present a problem for some people in that a sub on your desk isn't necessarily welcome, but it's small enough that it isn't a terrible burden. And it is, in fact, a beautiful enclosure so it's almost welcome.
- Other Thoughts: Swan really has done it this time. The sound coming out of these are fantastic, and I've had them up and running less than an hour now, and the sound will only improve with time. The finish is astoundingly gorgeous (it's actually white, I thought it looked silver in the online photos). The midrange coming out of these is superb, and the highs are fantastic. It takes some tuning to get the bass just right, but that, too, is incredible.
- Pros: The speakers sound great, exactly what you'd expect from Swan and the specifications. Its true the low end is lacking but this is clearly made up by the excellent mids and highs. I would go as far as saying they're logitech/klipsch killers in the 2.1 arena just as long as you are bigger on SQ than boomy bass.
- Cons: The support channel for these speakers is not in place. I received my speakers and they have a nice buzz and radio interference, I hear NPR loud and clear. Newegg points to the manufacturer for RMA/Returns and the manufacturer contacts they have are not returning my calls for nearly a week now. Hivi's site does not provide very much information, I contacted the Hivi global support, they offered a new pair of speakers as long as I picked up the freight from China ($150-$200 USD)...yeah right. So im still waiting for either Newegg or the Manufacturer to step up and take care of the situation.
- Other Thoughts: Very well packaged, but where the heck is the manual, support info, and warranty info?
