1 out of 5 eggsCan hear Radio station and White noise.

Pros: The speakers are well packaged and Look nice.

Cons: Immediately when I plugged them in I noticed a lot of white noise and a radio station coming through. The cables they use are cheap and the speakers feel light and cheap. I was expecting a lot more from what I've read of swan speakers.

I've had 4 different sets of speakers hooked up to this same power strip and audio jacks and none of them have ever had a single issue. You may have an issue like me you may not. I encourage anyone considering these speakers to do a google search on Swan M10's and buzzing or radio noise. I wish I had before I bought these. Now I'm just facing the chore of having to see about getting them returned.

Other Thoughts: I wish that I could have at least heard them with no interference they might actually sound good if they were so poorly shielded. Also, as poorly shielded as these are I can't imagine they wouldn't make a lot of noise when your cell phone receives a call.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat 2.1 system!

Pros: nice clean look, good sound with decent clarity and sound stage, great value at the asking price

Cons: Requires more space as subwoofer needs to be on desktop for sounding the best.

Other Thoughts: I have had this little gem in my office for over 3 years and still am amazed at how good it looks and sounds. I recently bought Micromega MyDAC and the sound just went up another notch. I am running MyDAC via a digital coaxial cable from an Onkyo ND-s1 which is connected to my iPOD and PC. I burn all my music into FLAC or ALAC lossless format. The down side is you need a big table to accommodate these speakers along with your PC monitor. I put them on a separate cadenza. Another “problem” is the music sounds so good that it often distracts me from working… :)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat sounding speakers - EMF problem

Pros: The speakers sound great. I did not buy them from Newegg because they were out of stock, but most of my computer related stuff I do. The speakers do sound wonderful as they are, but I couple mine with a Dac running through USB to my computer, and the sound is absolutely amazing for the price

Cons: The cons, to me are a major annoying one. I can hear a buzz through the lines and I can hear a country radio station almost perfectly. Not sure if it is just near the window placement of my machine at this time (which I know doesnt help) but it is something that needs to be resolved

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!!!

Pros: What can I say? Perfect out of the box and will only get better with time. The mids and highs are superb. Lows needs a little help, but this only is a minor flaw. The finish and quality are top notch just as only Swan can bring. If you're mulling over whether about getting these, don't. These are a terrific buy.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Speakers & Value

Pros: Everything about this set screams quality. The build, the sound, the packaging it comes in, the subtle beautiful touches. Everything, of course, except the price. The imagine is phenomenal, I have the subwoofer exactly in between the two speakers, and would SWEAR that the vocals come right out of the darn thing. But upon placing my ears up next to it, confirm that they are in fact coming from the left and right speakers.

Cons: For this price, you really have to nitpick. The volume knob on the subwoofer can present a problem for some people in that a sub on your desk isn't necessarily welcome, but it's small enough that it isn't a terrible burden. And it is, in fact, a beautiful enclosure so it's almost welcome.

Other Thoughts: Swan really has done it this time. The sound coming out of these are fantastic, and I've had them up and running less than an hour now, and the sound will only improve with time. The finish is astoundingly gorgeous (it's actually white, I thought it looked silver in the online photos). The midrange coming out of these is superb, and the highs are fantastic. It takes some tuning to get the bass just right, but that, too, is incredible.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The speakers sound great, exactly what you'd expect from Swan and the specifications. Its true the low end is lacking but this is clearly made up by the excellent mids and highs. I would go as far as saying they're logitech/klipsch killers in the 2.1 arena just as long as you are bigger on SQ than boomy bass.

Cons: The support channel for these speakers is not in place. I received my speakers and they have a nice buzz and radio interference, I hear NPR loud and clear. Newegg points to the manufacturer for RMA/Returns and the manufacturer contacts they have are not returning my calls for nearly a week now. Hivi's site does not provide very much information, I contacted the Hivi global support, they offered a new pair of speakers as long as I picked up the freight from China ($150-$200 USD)...yeah right. So im still waiting for either Newegg or the Manufacturer to step up and take care of the situation.

Other Thoughts: Very well packaged, but where the heck is the manual, support info, and warranty info?

5 out of 5 eggsWow!

Pros: This 2.1 desktop speaker system is fantastic! I just couldn't deal with the internal speakers on my new Aluminum 24" iMac, and my Harman Kardon iSub quit working with the Leopard OS and Intel chip. I set the computer on top of the subwoofer, plugged the Swans in and was blown away! They look and sound AWESOME! This is a just released product from a very well regarded manufacturer of high end audio equipment. All they do is speakers, and they do them right!

Cons: None whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: It is unlikely you'll regret purchasing the Swan M10 Multimedia Speaker system. Aside from the clarity of highs and responsive bass, the glowing blue volume knob is very sexy!

5 out of 5 eggsa winner

Pros: Swans is a company that makes audiophile speakers, and this is their take at a low budget desktop speakers, the result is excellent. First off a stunning design, the current pictures do not do them justice. The sound is excellent in the midrange and highs, especially the midrange have a pleasent sweet taste to it, without sounding colored. I am impressed with the tweeter as well. The subwoofer has a good response, especially packing a punchy upper bass, but do not go so low and not as tight in the low end. It is not for bassheads. Overall it is a very clear speakers with good instrumental seperation and nearly neutral sounding. None of that muddy and warm sound coming from generally cheap speakers types. Coupled with an affordable price and great look, I think this is an excellent product. I rate this 6 out of 5.

Cons: The speakers wires are soldered in, and is about 4ft long each. It is removable from the subwoofer, but not from the satellite itself.

No headphone out for some users that may wants it.

Other Thoughts: Your source (soundcard) will be crucial to the quality of the output since this is an active speaker with internal amp. You will want a soundcard with strong output, otherwize you may think the speakers aren't capable of being loud, but it can get to a good volume.

Since the satellite speakers are most highs and mids, it is more ideal to have the subwooder on the desk and in between them to create a more balanced sound.
