The Bose ® Acoustimass® 10 Series IV Home Entertainment Speaker System fills your living space with beautifully reproduced sound from five small modules and a newly engineered Acoustimass® module. The elegant black finish looks gracious in almost any decor.
The Acoustimass® module has been designed with two downward firing drivers for a bass response that has a clarity and balance unlike anything you've heard before. The sound channel port design lets sharp, short noises be heard clearly while letting long sounds such as thunder or tornadoes rumble to the point you'll be checking to see if everyone is okay.
While the Acoustimass® module is the hub of the system, collecting all of the inputs and sending them to the surround and center speakers put you into the center of the action. The Direct/Reflecting® cube speaker arrays fill the room with sound by sending out directly and bouncing it off the walls so there is no sweet spot. The center channel is set up horizontally to both keeps dialog centered on-screen and compliment the look of today's flat panel TVs.

Very Good!!
- Pros: This system def gives you your bang for the buck... im no expert in speakers but ive always went with cheap brands of speakers such as panasonic, after hooking this up (bought the combo deal with the harmon reciever) i will never use anything but bose! Anyone who says bose speakers are over priced...yah maybe, but the sound quality your getting for it is unmatached.
- Cons: Sub is rather large, hard to find a good spot to place it.
Awesome
- Pros: It was a good deal with the Onkyo reciever combo, significantly less expensive than say, at Circuit City for the same thing. It was made even better with the fact that I had free shipping on both. As for the speakers themselves, they sound better than I had imagined. The bass is deeper than I thought possible for a pair of 5.5" drivers in the bass module. The two-way speakers allow for flexibility in whatever environment you're in.
- Cons: The deal got even sweeter AFTER I had purchased the combo.
- Other Thoughts: Some advice for prospective buyers. Do not lean the subwoofer forward or backward to access the I/O ports. Lay the module on its side. Other than that if you want good sound, don't waste your money on cheaper systems that you'll regret buying later. Bose is the real deal.

Good system
- Pros: Very clear, crisp and amazing sound quality. Bi-Directional speakers help if you have a larger room.
It works very well with an Onkyo receiver. Also, the speakers look good...hence good wife approval factor to put them up. :D
Overall a good system!
- Cons: The acoustimass module is huge and heavy.
I am sure there are no stones in them, but it sure feels like that.
One more thing is that the wires have to go from reciever to the acoustimass module and then from the module to each speaker. This means, either you keep the module right next to your receiver or you will need to hide a lot of wires. And to all of us who hate wires this is a major con.
- Other Thoughts: Since I have only size, wiring and weight as my cons, I can say this is a good buy. It does what it is supposed to do very well.
Sweet sounds
- Pros: Very high-quality overall package. Sounds amazing. Satellites are versatile. Package comes with all the cabling you'll need. Love the single ribbon-cable design from the Acoustimass module to the A/V receiver.
- Cons: My only critiques are with the Acoustimass module. First, it is tremendous and not easily hidden anywhere. My previous sub fit, with room to spare, in the space behind our corner armoire. This one's so big, I can't push the armoire back to the wall any longer. Also, the placement of the connections is a bit awkward. You have to lay the massive module on its side to see what you're accessing. The only other minor thing is the amount of cabling is overly abundant for my space, leaving me with piles of ribbon cable in need of hiding. No custom cable lengths for the speakers. They're all about 25ft long.
- Other Thoughts: $100 off combo deal with Yamaha RX-V465 was great, probably the only way to get a discount on any Bose product. Lightning fast shipping...too fast. I had to race home from work because I didn't want these sitting on my stoop all afternoon. Oh, and FREE shipping! The Bose box alone was 70lbs!! You guys are the greatest.
