4 out of 5 eggsDecent Player for a Few Months

Pros: WiFi
Net TV

Cons: --Nothing really except:
Audio partially stopped working after 3 month. I've to leave unit running for 10-20 minutes until audio starts.

Other Thoughts: -Rebate was a joke. After about 8 weeks I received a notification that UPC is not valid. I called them up and the representative then honored the rebate stating that my info was incorrectly entered in the system and that she will process it in 8-12 weeks. hmmmm, not sure if this a way to make consumers gave up on rebate or what??
-I liked the unit pretty much. I would have given it 5 eggs if it continue to work.
-maybe it was a bad idea to purchase refurbished player but it's now discontinued product anyways.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Expect Rebate

Pros: Blu-ray player

Cons: Comes in a plan brown box with one label that has a UPC code. If you're counting on getting the rebate, don't purchase this one. Because that UPC label is not considered "authentic proof of Purchase"...

Other Thoughts: I would have not bought this if I would have known that the rebate was not going to be honored.. And I didn't receive notice about the rebate not being honored for nearly 8 weeks after I sent the rebate and PROOF... Now I am not able to return this, because I could have got a much better one for the not rebated price that was paid.

1 out of 5 eggsDreadful

Pros: *none

Cons: *Did not work.
*Scratched up.
* The player was written on in permanent marker.
*after plugging into an power outlet, the device appeared to keep recycling power on and off (power light showing power on and power off repeatedly), thereby unable to get to the menu, let alone play a dvd/bluray.

Other Thoughts: The player was a gift to nephew who didnt get and still hasn't got his 3d bluray player.
I RMA'ed the device, but it took awhile to receive a replacement. The replacement, did not come with remote or power cable and appears to be the exact same device. Thereby does not work.
I tried to RMA again, but the website would not allow stating it was after the time period allotted. I called and was hung up on after waiting a long time for an service specialist, before I had to leave town for work.
I basically have lost $70 and my nephew missed out on birthday gift.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't do it

Pros: inoperable

Cons: Wireless is sketchy

Other Thoughts: Ordered one for myself, one for my daughter. Mine came with no remote, took a month to get a replacement, and then when I got it, it was again with no remote. Box was halfway opened, unit was packed without any packing material - just thrown in the box.
Daughter got hers with remote, but the wifi is unreliable.

4 out of 5 eggsPhilips blu-ray player

Pros: Wi-fi built in, 3D.

Cons: No remote available

Other Thoughts: The item I received was damaged(HDMI outlet was not functional). I had to returned for a replacement.
The second time I received it was ok but there is no remote
available. I am ordering a remote on my own. Newegg was very nice and willing to pay for a remote.
