Four voice-matched speakers Components are designed for optimal performance, voice-matched to the center for consistent sound from speaker to speaker. The speakers produce the realistic, 360-degree soundstage that has resulted in JBL products being used in so many movie theaters.
Dual midrange center speaker The center channel is probably the hardest-working speaker in a home theater system. The JBL Cinema 300 center employs dual midrange drivers for improved power handling and efficiency, delivering clear, distinct dialogue from even the most complex movie soundtracks.
150-watt powered subwoofer A fast-moving, 8-inch (200mm) woofer and 150 watts of amplification produce clean, lifelike bass. Subwoofer phase, level and bass-boost controls let you tune for room acoustics and your preferences. Line and LFE subwoofer inputs ensure noise-free connections to virtually any A/V receiver.
Down-firing bass driver Unlike conventional, front-firing subwoofers, which interact with nearby walls and cause unwanted reflections that can muddy sound, the down-firing JBL Cinema 300 sub interacts principally with your floor, and its enclosure is ported for improved bass output and quality.
Dynamic JBL Weave design JBL Cinema 300 speakers are styled to complement any room decor with the new JBL Weave design, featuring sculpted, high-gloss black panels intersecting dimensional panels of textured gray fabric.

I have these matched with a yamaha rx-v373. For this price range(I paid 199) I don't think you can do better. The subwoofer's cone shape is intriguing. They come with shelf-stands. Cons: Gloss finish picks up fingerprints easily (minor). The shelf-stands should have mounting screw holes for optional wall mounting (most people I know have these mounted on the wall, not on a shelf) Other Thoughts: I was wholly impressed with this speaker set. I like them more than the Energy Take Classic 5.1 system I bought over a year ago. I am using these JBLs in a theater room that measures 10' x 12'. The sound matches my 94" screen (epson powerlite projector) very well. I got these on sale, and they were well worth the price. Did you find this review helpful? Goon 11/25/2012 8:38:39 AM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 2/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 5/5Great Speakers Pros: I have these speakers Hooked up to a Harman Kardon AVR-1700( a very good receiver by the way) and these sound very good for music and Home theater. I am no Audiophile trust me but when you hear something and it sounds really really good it usually means you have a really good product. Excellent sound according to my ears and I have heard a lot of other very nice home theater systems before so I know good sound when I hear it...subwoofer is also very good and I mean very good. Cons: The stand assembly on the 5 speakers attach ONLY ONE WAY and the Manual does not say that and even the picture does not Illustrate the stands only going on one way. If something doesnt fit right DO NOT FORCE IT. I ended up scratching the bottom of one of my speakers but hey no problem as the scratch is on the bottom and not showing... Other Thoughts: These speakers are an absolute steal for the 200 dollars shipped I payed for them. Speakers have a piano finish so they they show fingerprints easy not really a Con though...
