The CSB6 speaker looks great with flat-screen and plasma television sets: silver enclosure, high-gloss black front panel, black grille. But the big deal is how it completes your experience. PolyPlas woofers and titanium-laminate tweeters in Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal waveguides pound out glorious audio that’s worthy of today’s high-definition pictures.

  • newegg JBL HeatScape motor structure The HeatScape motor structure envelops the JBL CSB6’s 1-1/2" (38mm) voice coil with a large ceramic magnet and steel frame. It protects the voice coil by dissipating heat away from it to increase power handling and give you extremely low levels of harmonic distortion.
  • newegg 3/4" (75mm) titanium-laminate dome tweeter The JBL CSB6’s thin but rigid titanium-laminate tweeter delivers accurate high-frequency response, even when the volume is way up. The end result is a full, clear, tight reproduction of sound. And there’s a seamless transition between the middle and high frequencies.
  • newegg Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal (EOS) waveguides Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal (EOS) waveguides, originally developed for JBL Professional LSR studio monitors, disperse the JBL CSB6’s clean high-frequency sound precisely across a wide listening area. There’s no “sweet spot.” Sit wherever you want.
  • newegg Exclusive Straight-Line Signal Path (SSP) crossover design By providing the shortest possible route from the input terminals to the transducers, this exclsive crossover design minimizes the JBL CSB6’s noise and signal loss. So you’ll hear everything your TV and music sources can dish out.
  • newegg Accurate frequency response and cinema Sound performance At 60Hz to 30kHz, with 88dB sensitivity, nothing is over- or under-emphasized by the JBL CSB6. You get a true, full sound range from deep bass tones to ultrahigh frequencies. With 300 watts peak power handling, the JBL CSB6 performs like a pro. It uses technology derived directly from JBL Professional products and gives your home theater audio the unparalleled spaciousness and definition it wants.
  • newegg Magnetically shielded speakers for video proximity Put the JBL CSB6 anywhere that makes sense in your home theater setup. It’s magnetically shielded for placement on the floor wherever you want, including right near your TV or video display.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: I thought I would be getting a decrease in audio performance from downgrading from a pair of Monito 70 Series 2's but I was wrong. I cannot hear the difference between the speakers at all except for the bass but that is what I have a subwoofer for. For $100 right now before tax and shipping you are getting an excellent deal, I just bought 2 more pairs to make a complete 7.1 system.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsVery impressive.

Pros: Great sound, very life-like.
Very good price at $130 shipped.
Relatively small packaging considering 5" speaker.

Cons: NONE.

Other Thoughts: I've looked at a lot of different speakers and the JBL CSB6 seem to be the BEST in terms of Price, Performance and Package. I'm using these as my Fronts and sound very clear, full and distortion free. Looks great and very small overall packaging for 5" speaker. Works really well with my Energy Take 5 as Center and Rears. You don't have to be an Audiophile to appreciate these speakers!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value bookshelf speakers

Pros: Value (129.99 a pair). Produce a marvelous sound for the price. Construction is solid. Aesthetically speaking, they look fantastic.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Onkyo TX-NR609
JBL CSC56 x 1
JBL CSB6 x 4 (2 pair)
BIC F12 475watt sub
Crossover at 80hz
20 x 15 room (filled nicely but still a daunting task for a very large and open room. I'll be adding 2 JBL CST56 floor standing speakers soon for a 7.1 setup)

5 out of 5 eggsSimply Awesome

Pros: I know alot about sound systems and these bad boys are worth every penny and then some, crystal clear sound, can handel ALOT of power, and with these wired in 7.1 absoluty insane, and i dont even have a sub hooked up, transformers 3, hahah you are the transformer....

Cons: NOT one, but some may say size, but these are also a loudspeaker, and JBL would be dissapointed if they were small

Other Thoughts: a Must buy for a 7.1,, im hooked to a onkyo tx-rn609 with a 52 aquas led tv, and never better.
