1 out of 5 eggsweek speakers

Pros: They sounded good while they lasted

Cons: not Newegg's fault but these speakers blew the second month I had them and JBL still wont replace the crossovers and they are still under the factory warranty all they did was send me 1 driver!, x-overs are burnt up, Iv' had another brand speakers for over 5 years and they still play good using the same amplifier?

Other Thoughts: JBL doesn't give any kind of reliable support, they told me they could not replace the x-overs cause the didn't have anymore.
If u want strong speakers don't buy these.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Speakers

Pros: Sound good :-)

Cons: None - for the price I paid.

Other Thoughts: For those who have figured out that you need 2 speakers for stereo (sold individually) and that they are passive - IE need to be powered by a stereo receiver, integrated amplifier or amplifier (won't run off a computer soundcard with some mystical adapter). They are a great set of speakers! Got mine very inexpensive on here.. Great shipping too!

1 out of 5 eggsConfused

Pros: If I knew how to plug it in.

Cons: I received the JBL Studio 180, that's it, no cables, no adapters, nothing. I don't know how to plug it in to my computer.

5 out of 5 eggsOut Standing

Pros: Great sound and easy to hook up. Have not tried Bi-amp set up, likely blow the walls off my apt. Fantastic deal, I purchased on special and paid less for the pair than Brick and Mortar stores wanted for just one. Outstanding!!!!

Cons: None yet, but my downstairs neighbor might have a complaint or two!!!!

4 out of 5 eggsGood value

Pros: Cheap, powerful, nice sound, bi-wiring

Cons: Nothing major, AT THIS PRICE
(see below)

Other Thoughts: >> Even tho they include a 6.5inch sub that can be connected separately (bi-wired), the lowest frequency is only 45hz, which force me to set my avr crossover at 60hz and I lose all the lower (20to59) frequencies. The 190 goes down to 40hz tho. Anyhow, we should all buy a separate sub so.. maybe you won't care

4 out of 5 eggsWhat a deal

Pros: Well constructed cabinets and drivers. Very good low end and balanced by a bright high end that's not shrill.

Cons: The speaker covers are kind of ugly, with the cheap plastic look.

Other Thoughts: I can't believe I got these for $80 a piece. They would be a good deal at twice the price. Now I have to upgrade my cheap-@ssed Pioneer receiver so I can put these puppies through their paces. I can say this though, that the sound and volume I get out of these before the Pioneer starts to clip was very much beyond my expectations. Two segregated 6 1/2 drivers delivered decent low to mid-range and the dome tweeter is good at delivering a smooth but brilliant high-end. If you can get these speakers anywhere under $125, you'd be a fool not to by them as they sound a lot better that many speakers I have heard at twice that price.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat speakers for all applications.

Pros: Great bass response. Unique design that looks good with grilles on. Provides a great sound stage. Great price on these.

Cons: A bit unstable on carpet. Unique design that looks weird with grilles off.

Other Thoughts: These speakers are great for 2 channel stereo, providing plenty of bass response. Also great in a home theater set up. Couple these with the Studio 120c center channel, which is also a great speaker, and you have a fantastic front 3 speakers. The deep, rich sound the studio 180's put out is exceptional at this price range. The price I paid is so low for such quality sound that I probably should have bought a second pair. Don't waste more money on the 190's, as they both share the same frequency response. I also have the Infinity Primus P363's and the JBL Studio 180's are better.

5 out of 5 eggsI Stole Them

Pros: Small footprint, Solid construction, Pictures looks are deceiving. Designed to rock!

Cons: Bass is commanding depending on placement, overly bright on some recoedings

Other Thoughts: My box intended for these is out of order at the present so I hooked them up to my Onk receiver. Playing in all modes, I thought they were terrible until I had the idea to run the Odyssey setup on the system. They blew me away. I have a set of Modula MT's that i built. They are extremely good speakers and can take you there but they don't like some types of music. The 180's takes those and throws it at you and it pops! I feel like I stole them at Neweggs price. They're mine fair and square now and staying here I can assure you. Can't wait till they finally break in at this point, I'll admit that I'm not a audiophile, I'm a enthusiast. I've heard a lot of systems and though these aren't what I'd call high end, those that like to rock, these will salute you. Someone I think would be a fool not to get these at neweggs price point presently.
