5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: This is probably the best value for the money. Sounds amazing. A real bargain for $340. It looks great with my Samsung TV. Ipod dock is really handy, impressive DVD up-scaling, and wireless rear speakers saves me from having speakers wires running all over the place. I was amazed at the sound. Usually cheaper systems like this tend to have lousy sound quality but the sound from this unit is very balanced and crisp. Really made me feel like I was at the movies. The bass will shake your room and voices, explosions, background noises, gunfire, etc all come in with amazing clarity.

Cons: Only bad thing I have to say about this system is that it didn't come with an HDMI or Digital Optical Audio cable. I mean I'm paying pretty decent bucks and all they can give you is composite video cable?! give me a break. Ordered both these cables from Newegg so wasn't a big deal.

Other Thoughts: Buy this!! But make sure you buy an HDMI and a Digital Optical audio cable with it to really take advantage of digital video and audio. I got both these from Newegg for less than $40! :)

2 out of 5 eggshmm.. seems nice but...

Pros: this is a very nice idea of a system which allows playback of almost all formats including xvid and divx , powerful audio delivery lots of sounds options dts prologic 2 and all that also there is an auxillary channel, headphones port to the front, an ipod docking bay, xm radio receiver, hdmi output and and also component video in addition to an excellent tuner tuner and the subwoofer has very good power and bass it also uses two sound channels ie. u plug in two seperate wires for the full power

Cons: now the bad well its rear speakers being wireless might seem cool at first but the system is weak at best, the wireless unit has to be close to an outlet and not too far from the main system it cuts off occasionally . then comes the drive, a five disc changer system is not bad if it works however this one is erratic ,the drive behaved strangely on and off at its own will, sometimes it would refuse to close and the system would be shut off and the tray would still be outside, the disc rotator would refuse to turn, one of the channels at the back did not work at all
also the system did not come with the adapter wires for the rear speakers these had to be improvised as the plug type is impossible to find anywhere .
bear in mind that the above mentioned problems set in about two months and 4 movie sessions later the problems are all with the drive mechanism apparently and all the other modes work great but no disc functionality

Other Thoughts: this system has a nice feature set but in the end it does not work so it is best to avoid it opt for the 810 or go with the sony very reliable
i own one now

5 out of 5 eggsSAMSUNG HT-Z510 HTIB

Pros: Got mine from NewEgg in Sept after 3 months of research and shopping. I am extremely pleased with it and with NewEgg!! The sound is beyond my expectations and blows my 8 year old 5.1 system right into the dumpster. Didn't need the wireless box since my room is already wired for speakers, so I set the receiver right next to the HTIB system (though Samsung recommends more distance) and ran it's output into my wall plate. Works perfectly. Love the 5 disc changer as it allows me to keep music and other frequently watched DVD's loaded through Movie Night. I have a difficult time with hearing voices in movies these days and I used to have to crank up the volume but then would get blasted with a loud sound effect seconds later. Not with this unit! It's sound setup is extremely customizable and the clarity of voices from it is outstanding.
Don't hesitate to buy it.

Cables Unlimited Pro A/V Series HDMI 1.3 Home Theatre Cable PCM-2295-02M 6.6ft

Cons: Not many cons. If I had to comment on something I don't like it would be that it only plays the Front Left and Right speakers for anything not 5.1 ready. But I really only noticed it on the first couple of days. Also wished the set had (optional) wired connections for the rear speakers since I didn't need the wireless box for this set up.

Other Thoughts: I run this along with a Samsung BD-1500 Blue-Ray player and a Samsung LN52A650 TV via Cables Unlimited Pro A/V Series HDMI 1.3 Home Theatre Cable (NewEgg). Never going to the theater again!!!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Wireless Rear Spkrs, Impressive overall sound, Nicely finished Satellites & Reciever, HDMI Compatible/Impressive Upscaling; an overall bang for the buck!

Cons: Difficult to get into settings menu (seems like only playback mode w/ DVD/CD stopped will work), Digital audio cable not included (knew this when purchasing), bulky wireless reciever, Rear speaker wires are somewhat short,

Other Thoughts: This system is attached to a Hitachi REZGA 42" LCD (42RV530U) and analog sound to the Comcast HD box. The rear satellites aren't intended for complete sound immersion, apparently, as the tech guide says so itself. They are much more responsive to Music & Sound FX than voices and dialog. Excellent buy!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat System

Pros: You get so much value for your money with this system it's ridiculous. I have this hooked up to a 40" Samsung. The sound is amazing, DVDs look great, and even games on the Wii sound incredible.

Cons: I noticed other reviewers complain about the wireless rear speakers. I had them cut out on me one time during a movie, and it was only for a second or two. I think my wife was using her laptop in the room at the time, I'm not sure if that caused it. As for the humming from the wireless reciever, it does exist, but I think you could only hear it if you were 3 feet away and the room was quiet.

Other Thoughts: Easy to set up, clear instructions. As always, Newegg got it to me on time and in perfect condition. I've made dozens of purchases from them over the years, and have never had a single problem.

4 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Set up was easy, lots of cool features, USB input is great, There is an iPod port( don't have an iPod but it is nice that it has one). The sound is good, most of the time and the wireless rear speakers are nice most of the time. HD up converting is nice, and it works on 720P and 1080P alike.

Cons: The Sound goes off randomly for about a second, or at least it dose for me. Extremely annoying if you watching a movie with lots of dialog. The rear wireless unit seems to need a line of sight of the main unit to work properly and if you walk in front of it the rear sound goes off.

Other Thoughts: Over all great for the price. It has a gigantic sub woofer that you can basically use as a stool to sit on which is good or bad depending on your set up. If you have a samsung HDTV there is no reason why you have not got this already( or another samsung home theater system).

5 out of 5 eggsBang for the Buck

Pros: This is the first Home theatre system that i have purchased myself but i have heard others. Let me say that for what you are paying on this system you definately get the full value of your dollar. I use this system in my bedroom and the sound quality is theater-like. This with my 32 inch Samsung LCD HDMI tv makes excellent movies and turns my Xbox 360 gameplay into an almost real experience.

Cons: Obviously not what you could have by spending a large sum of money but the value is still excellent

4 out of 5 eggsGood System

Pros: Wireless rear speakers, works well with my Samsung TV, good sound...Over all good system

Cons: The instructions aren't very clear and the on-screen menus aren't the easiest to navigate. Also, I love the wireless rear speakers but the wireless receiver is pretty large and makes an buzzing sound that is audible from 5 feet in a quiet room.
