Decent, DOA unit
- Pros: Great price for a home theater surround with bluray. The speakers are decent. I also like the ability to stream Netflix and Pandora.
- Cons: The first unit i received, the BD wouldn't open or close. I RMA'd it and the second unit i received worked.
Other issues i have are minor. For example, Logitech Harmony Remotes have a hard time controlling the inputs. I also would like the feature to disable inputs.
- Other Thoughts: For a home surround system with bluray, this setup is hard to beat value wise. With a good set of features and only a few caveats, i recommend this system.
Nice System
- Pros: Bundled price at $450 for a Blu-Ray 2nd generation and home entertainment - easy simple setup - sounds good at low to mid levels - not meant to blow your windows out - streaming netflix worked like a charm with good bandwidth from comcast - netflix quality is not so hot if you have a slow wireless - or DSL thru the phone company - really shines with a Samsung LCD like LN52B750...

DOA
- Pros: dont know.
- Cons: the bluray unit is faulty. When connected to LN46B750 TV, the TV wont recognize any signal from the unit using hdmi or composite. tried RESET method but the unit stuck on "LOAD" mode. sent to SAMSUNG because newegg wont replace heavy packages which i found very odd.
- Other Thoughts: BUYERS. MAKE SURE YOU BUY WARRANTY FOR THIS PRODUCT.
Only a few problems...
- Pros: The sound is MUCH better than my old Panasonic DVD Home Theater system. The surround sound is loud and enjoyable. The bass is quite powerful as well. The Anynet+ feature came in pretty handy since the remote didn't work...
- Cons: It loads discs slowly and loudly.
The system would only receive about 1/10 of the singals sent by a remote, leaving me at the mercy of the Anynet+ feature which allowed me to use the Samsung TV remote to send signals to the device from the TV. Without Anynet+ I would have taken it back to Best Buy immediately instead of calling Samsung customer support to see if they had a solution to my problem. They told me that I would receive a new remote in the mail from them in 4 weeks. It never came, and I bought a Logitech Harmony One from Newegg (great product!) but it made no difference. It therefore was the unit and not any remote I tried.
- Other Thoughts: Samsung costumer service was useless. I had to take it back to Best Buy for warranty service. I would NOT recommend this to friend!
Nice System
- Pros: * Sound is just terrific
* Netflix and Pandora streaming very well done
* Blue Ray player is great
* Good design - looks very nice
- Cons: * Buttons are on top of unit - not a real con for me as I use the remote to control everything
- Other Thoughts: Well designed and executed product. I love it. I connected it to my wireless network via a gaming adapter - works great. I read on a support website that Samsung will be releasing a firmware update to allow YouTube streaming also - cant wait.
