Find yourself a versatile player to watch and record movies and TV. Samsung’s DVD-VR375A is the one. It records both DVD discs and VHS tapes, and allows you to convert your VHS family videos to DVDs. Progressive scan DVD technology delivers crisp, more film-like pictures while the 1080p up-conversion via HDMI ensures that you have high-quality high definition images on a HDTV.
HDMI transfers video and audio signals using a single cable from your DVD player to your TV and other digital devices, so you won’t be bothered by tangled wires. The DVD-VR375A is HDMI CEC-enabled, so you can control all of your High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) connected devices with one-touch control in a single universal remote.
Poor Quality, awful support
This review is from: SAMSUNG DVD-VR375A Combo DVD/VHS Recorder
Cons: Poor quality, even worse customer support, known issue with unit that Company does not acknowledge
Other Thoughts: The VCR part of this unit seems to have a known defect where the screen goes blank during playback (find other reviews where you can see this issue reported by MANY people - one person returned it for warranty repair 3x's and it was STILL not working). Samsung wants you, the customer, to pay a fee to return the product to them for Warranty repair. The VCR unit on mine went out on the second tape I played, I had it less than 30 days.
