Has battery, but will not travel
- Pros: Buttonless bezel gives a clean look. The packaging is very good, gift quality box, no wrapping required, very impressed.
- Cons: I bought this model of frame because it has a built in battery and I wanted to set them up at a wedding where power plugs would not be available. After 24 hours of charging they were all dead in minutes. I guess the battery is designed so that you can unplug the frame and had it to someone and then plug it back in, not for extended cord-free use. Doesn't display .gif or .png, but it says that in the specs, so I should have known that.
- Other Thoughts: I purchased 7 of these frames for use at a wedding. From reading the other reviews I was nervous about getting the wrong power adapters but they all came with US plugs. Also, the package says there is 128MB of memory but the one or two that I looked at on the PC had 256. Guess it should read at least 128MB. Also, I did not try to use the card readers, only the internal storage.
Helps to have all the pieces
- Pros: I choose this frame based on the ability to set the longer time periods for pictures. I also liked the random features. All of these turned out easy to use. Adding pictures was slick as well.
- Cons: I've had two of these. Out of the two, I have yet to have one have a American power adapter. The first one came with a European one, the second, did not come with any. This wouldn't be a problem, had my house been wired for USB when it was made. I sent an e-mail to the company and have yet to hear back. Ten days have gone by so I'm assuming they just don't care. Reading a few other reviews they echo the same problem.
- Other Thoughts: If you plan on ordering this product, expect to have to buy a power adapter from Radio Shack.
Very nice
- Pros: This is probably the most sleek and stylish digital frame I've ever seen. The picture quality is sharp and the controls are fairly easy to use.
- Cons: You cannot access the power button without opening the memory card compartment, which is a minor pain.. It's also a bit on the pricey side when compared to other frames of similar spec.
