kill-a-watt is great
- Pros: This product does everything it says it does. It accurately measures all sorts of electrical characteristics, the most useful to be being wattage. Sturdy, no apparent problems. The price is right, too.
- Cons: Only one small thing, is that when plugged into a standard wall socket, it does not leave room for something to be plugged into the other adjacent socket. Not really a problem.
- Other Thoughts: I believe the documentation said it can take statistical measurements, however I have yet to figure out how. I can see that it does instantaneous measurement, which is fine for me.
- Pros: Easy to use (just plug in). Readout fantastic - can leave a device on it for hours and see how many kWh is burned over time. I played with almost all devices at home. A lot of surprises: DVR uses 20 W when in stand-by.
- Cons: Will block the other (top) power plug on the dual plug home outlet.
- Other Thoughts: Very useful device. Worth every dollar spent!

Nice to have around...
- Pros: Works well.
- Cons: Doesn't pay the electric bill.
Pays for it's self in no time
- Pros: Great for letting you know how much power things are using when they are just plugged up and how much things that are on are using that don't need to be on. I found out my printer was pulling about 45 watts an hour. Thats about 50KW a year that I don't need on.
- Cons: Somewhat hard to get out of those plugs that have the flat plug on them for people who don't have finger nails.
- Other Thoughts: I bought it to charge customers for power I was using while fixing there computers well more or less to justify adding it into my price.
Works very well
- Pros: - Variety of uses
- Accurate - You dont need to be a certified electrician to use it
- Cons: - Blocks the second outlet on the wall
- Multimeter can do the same thing, but it is not quite as convenient
- Other Thoughts: I have had a number of friends borrow this for a number of reasons. It's simply a convenient tool... I have an expensive multimeter that does everything, but this fits a different need.
