5 out of 5 eggsExcellent meter

Pros: This meter has a lot of useful features and retains its memory for quite a while when it's not plugged in. Can enter cost per kilowatt hour for calculating short term and estimating long term costs of individual appliances. Realtime display of usage in different units of power such as wattage and amperage.

Cons: Display is hard to view from the top when vertical

5 out of 5 eggsHandy, Revealing

Pros: The P4460 presents useful and accurate information about electricity usage. Details household current and volts also. Easy settings for determining cost of use over long periods.

Cons: Not backlit but that's fine, I just use a flashlight for the brief time I check the display.
covers both plugs, but will use an extension cord if it becomes a problem.
No loss of points for what I knew going in.

Other Thoughts: Fantastic bargain Shell Shocker deal @ 24 w/ free ship!

4 out of 5 eggsUseful tool but too expensive and a bit too single minded

Pros: Does what it's designed to do well, but...

Cons: ...it is about $20-$30 too expensive if that's all it does, and...

Other Thoughts: ...P3I needs to combine the functionality of the 4400 in with this 4460 so you can look at real-time "snap shots" as well as cumulative usage.

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Works like its supposed to. Measures many different units. Great for keeping track of electricity usage or making sure you don't overdraw on a circuit. Seems to work pretty much the same as the cheaper model, except saves measurement data even without power.

Cons: Covers 2 plugs, even though it only uses 1. The screen is also kind of hard to read without extra light, a flashlight is a good suggestion (but obviously annoying).

Other Thoughts: Does what I need it to do, even if I need a flashlight to read it. I don't see anything any better available.

3 out of 5 eggsAwesome but screen hard to read

Pros: Does what it says it does!

Cons: Screen is really hard to read if not in plain view. Get a flashlight or do what some people suggest and get an extension cord.

Other Thoughts: Would be awesome if you could connect this to wifi or network and view settings in a web browser!!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works as avertised, saves usage data even if you unplug

Cons: No backlight, covers two outlets, the built in socket is reeeeally tight

Other Thoughts: Everything that I plugged into this device was rather difficult to unplug. Thinking about buying a couple of short extension cords

5 out of 5 eggsVery helpful like everyone says

Pros: input YOUR electric RATE and the device calculates CURRENT cost of electricity,
then predicts WEEKLY, MONTHLY, and YEARLY cost to run the device for its CURRENT use

Device remembers your electricity rate for using with other devices

as all others state, VERY handy device for deciding what to 1. unplug , 2. use less, or 3. junk

Cons: cannot input a 4-decimal rate , only 3 decimals. My power company gives a rate to the ten-thousandths place, or 1/100th of a cent

The menus do take 1-step longer to cycle through,
vs. the original design,
but having the cost-calculations done for you brings this time back

Other Thoughts: the design of this inherently requires unplugging the device prior to testing its power for measurement; this cannot be avoided, however using an EXTENSION CORD greatly frees up the PLUG AREA as well as being able to CLEARLY VIEW the non-backlit screen from ABOVE THE FLOOR =)

3 out of 5 eggsRed the specs before complaining about 220V support

Pros: It works.

Cons: Build quality is iffy.

Other Thoughts: I bought this locally after reading about it here.

To the guy complaining about "international:" Read the flubbing manual. The name of the company is "P3 International" The product is clearly stated to be 120V. It's right here on newegg in the details section, which you obviously did not read.

The customers inability to read a product description is not the fault of the manufacturer.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect -- it does what you ask.

Pros: Works awesome for testing out your power levels -- Have no problems testing up to 15amps .. haven't tried anything past that.

Cons: Its wide so it will cover up any plugs right next to it but thats to be expected with a device like this. No reason to drop and egg.

Other Thoughts: The history/logging feature is really nice so you can actually see how much energy you're using per month on an outlet array.

Currently have a 3-way splitter outlet on mine which is hooked up to my computer repair station, where each outlet has a 10-12 plug surge protecter. There are currently about 20 plugs running through the meter at any given time. Definitely nice when you think you might be pulling too many amps through a certain socket.
