Let the music play wherever you are with the H201 from Sangean. This radio has been made water resistant to the standards for marine radios so it is a great choice for the shower or the beach. For shower use there is mounting bracket that installs to the wall with adhesive pads from 3M—no drilling required.
There is an emergency LED light for finding your way along the beach after dark. While you're at the beach listen to any of the 10 presets (5 AM and 5FM) or hit the seek button to find a new station. Enjoy your day at the beach without worrying about your radio.
Pros: This shower radio has excellent build quality, and is very solid. The sound produced by the single speaker sounds clear and rich, and better than any other single speaker radio I've ever used.
There is a sturdy carrying handle that can be folded away when not being used. This handle also has a ridged rubber insert on the underside, so you can hang the radio from your showerhead pipe if you wish, although I did not try this.
The integrated LED flashlight is also very handy, especially if you use the radio in power outages, or outdoors/camping. I also sometimes like turning it on and aiming it towards the wall in the shower, to create a relaxing atmosphere as opposed to having the overhead lights on.
Cons: This radio is larger than I expected, at 9.5" wide, 5.5" tall, and 2" deep.
There are 5 programmable buttons to set your favorite stations, and each button can store an FM and an AM station. With AM radio fading into history in most areas, I would prefer to have more FM station presets. For this, I deduct 1 egg from my review.
Other Thoughts: It uses 3 "D" cell batteries, which according to other reviewers last a very long time even with daily use. I would suggest getting some good brand name Alkaline batteries, since it will make them last all that much longer, and the extra cost of a good set of batteries can be justified by the fact you won't be replacing them often.
To prolong battery life even more, keep the volume at a max of 27 or below (goes up to a max of 30).
The integrated flashlight is LED, so with 3 "D" cell batteries, the light should have a very, very long runtime. The LED also produces a nice clean white light.
If you are looking for a good shower/power outage/outdoor/camping/emergency radio, you will be very pleased with the quality and sound from this one! This truly is a case of getting what you pay for.

BEST SHOWER RADIO EVER

Pros: This is TRULY waterproof and doesn't suck up the batteries. We might change the batteries every 5-6 months and use it every morning in a household of two for our showers and getting ready (women). We take it to the pool in the summer at my sisters house and it is VERY durable. It has an auto timer that is great I get in the shower hold down the power button and it i shuts off in 60 minutes so I never have to reach in the shower and turn it off after I am done in the bathroom. The volume is GREAT it is VERY loud. The reception is great. We get the station 60 miles north of us NO PROBLEM I can't even get it on my house stereo receiver!!!
Cons: I haven't discovered one except I wish the antenna was internal but then it might not work as well
Other Thoughts: It's scary to spend this much on a "shower radio" but if you truly like to listen to the radio in the shower and want good reception, it is worth EVERY penn (and I paid almost $90 for it over a year ago!!!)

Pros: Awesome shower radio, great sound and I like the portability.
Cons: No real issue, the only thing I would change is the external antenna but it's not that big of deal.
