Pros: Perfect radio for kitchen. Sounds good. More features than I use. Was very happy with the purchase.

Cons: Have owned for about 2 years and the LCD display for the clock and date have failed. Have a clock radio for over 10 years that has LCD display that continues to display and play.

Other Thoughts: Will contact Sangean, but I know even if they agree to replace/fix, I will have to pay for shipping costs. Very disappointed.

Cons: Sound not as sharp as I would like, but similar to most other Sangean radios. I also own the PR-D5 with similar sound. This is a minor issue.

Other Thoughts: The overall design and format of the K-200 is just what I wanted. The footprint allows for easy rotation of the radio for AM reception.

Cons: AM radio sensitivity lousy.
No tone control of any kind.
Excessive bass. Sound mushy.
Audio lacks treble (brightness).
Tough to get the RDS time to sync.

Other Thoughts: I would mark it down more but for the rich feature set and shell shocker price. At full price or anything approaching a hundred bucks, it would have gone back just like the last Sangean I tried, a world famous "CC" radio a few years ago. Like that one, the AM sensitivity is not acceptable.

Yes I am an RF expert, but my "standard" is a Dream Machine that is about 15 or 20 years old and cost about 1/3 of the suggested price for this unit. With it I can usually pick up a station that is about 40 miles away. The K-200 fails at this task.

Another reason for not knocking it more severely is the auxiliary input. When I find a wire I can plug in my streaming device and listen to my station and many more so RF prowess is less important to me. Just don't buy this expecting a "really good" AM radio; it is not. Maybe they could redeem it with a good antenna but I have not found such. I also know of no cure for the glaring lack of treble.

Other Thoughts: True rating of 3 1/2 stars...If you can get it for $50 or less, consider doing so if you need a neat radio with a small footprint. Other than that, go with the PR-D5

Pros: Excellent despite the cons. Snagged it as an egg shocker deal--was waiting for the price to drop and it happened @40$ including shipping--thanks b to G_d. Now, the biggest pro is it was able to catch 5 strong signal Chr.istian radio stations on FM band. The radio is slick, modern, and packs lots of features/$

Cons: - MSRP is overpriced
- Upper buttons are not backlighted
- Station preset buttons are very grayed out and do not stand out in low light conditions which makes it hard to see what to press. The buttons should have been painted with brighter paint or backlighted.
- The 'nose' and 'mouth' knobs on the front are reversed in that the bigger one should have been volume and on top instead of being below because you adjust volume more than changing stations and it's alot more convenient to change stations by presets. I think that's the biggest con of this radio--the designers goofed up. I think both of them should have been big and backlighted and reversed in positions and not so round like a bubble but more squashed or with a classic edge on them.
- Earphones connector MUST be on the front for easy plug in and out for on as needed basis.

Other Thoughts: Newegg does not 'yet' carry the other colors that are pictured in the brochure--black, gray, etc. Each different colored unit sports different colored LED backlighting so buy respectively depending on your preferences. The unit does come with antenna, in case you are wondering, although it was not pictured it is there--an external pluggable antenna, thou small it is enough for normal use. External antenna uses 3 band/connector headphone style connector.

Pros: It's great for users to listen to music through radio, through another device. User's manual is very readable. There are also other functions to support user's context.

Cons: Well, it's little bigger than I thought.
