4 out of 5 eggsOverall a NICE FRAME!

Pros: Very easy to setup and the size of course! Frame looks nice too. Control buttons do everything you need, so you don't have to rely on remote to see things if you ever lose it. Internal 128Mb memory is spacious enough for hundreds of photos if you save them correctly. Videos from my digital camera (640x480) play VERY nicely! Good sound and decent picture. I wouldn't try to watch HD movies on the frame :) but hey, I guess you could. I got mine for $100+free shipping!

Cons: These are more annoyances than cons: control buttons are all same size and shape and feel and in the back. Even same distance between them. So to control the device without having to look behind it is nearly impossible. Images came out a bit or a lot blurry at any resolution except 1000x600. So I think that's the native resolution. Built-in scaling is TERRIBLE. No way to auto play photos and videos together, only either or. PC connection cord is a bit short, but it will do. You must restart the device every time after you disconnect from PC. Progressive JPGs won't display, so save as optimized.

Other Thoughts: USE PHOTOSHOP! I had to resize or crop every photo to 1000x600 (automation helps) and then apply a Smart Sharpen filter. Resulting pictures are 60-150k and you can fit A LOT of them into the built-in 128Mb card. It actually works better than inserting the SD card with originals since built-in scaling made all images come out blurry.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: For the price this is a great picture frame. The settings allow user adjustment of time on images and transition effects. I have mine placed on my desk, directly under two fluorescent task lights. The image is a little washed out, but that is more due to the lighting. I get a lot of comments from co-workers regarding the picture quality and screen size.

Cons: The instructions are a bit confusing, and overall the logic used by the system is not what I am used to, but after a bit of trial and error all is well. Just be prepared to spend some time reading the instructions and doing some trial and error to get things right.

3 out of 5 eggsFirst fram was bad...waiting on a replacement

Pros: The frame was big and picture quality was good for the price.

Nice features that generally aren't on many other frames. like auto-dim and clock/calendar mode .

Cons: * light wasn't evenly distributed across the frame.
* Stretch modes distort the pictures too much.
* Couldn't find a way to easily re-order pictures.
* Cherry wood frame looks fake, black is much better, unfortunately cherry is the one that's on the frame by default.

The packaging on newegg's part was fine, but the frame was defective.

I received the frame last week and after setting it up, I noticed a defect with the frame. On the right-hand side of the screen, there was a vertical bar of lighter area that is as much as 1/4 inch wide (Depending on the angle you view the frame). It looks terrible and makes all the pictures look faded on the right side.

I paid enough money for the frame, the screen should be perfect with light evenly distributed across the screen.

I returned the frame and am awaiting the replacement.
I'm hoping the replacement doesn't have the same issue, otherwise I'll be loking for a different frame.

2 out of 5 eggsOOPS!

Pros: I don't know yet --- I bought it for a Birthday present ...

Cons: Now, I'm scared ... I received mine in a box, the size, that could have easily held 8 or 10 of these (a very big box). Unfortunately there was only enough packing to protect something about half the size of the item ... It definately got bounced around in shipping. I suppose I'd better open it up and make sure it's OK ...

Other Thoughts: Understand that the 2 stars are for the NEWEGG shipping department - not the product --- and certainly not for NEWEGG as a whole ...they're the best!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Price...excellent price for a 10" photo frame. The unit can be programed to go directly to a slide show display from power up. This is a nice option if you plan to give it as a gift to a non-technical person. For the rest of us, the frame has many useful features or display options so that it can be used as a desk calender/clock coupled with your own photos. It can be programed to dim and brighten the display at specific times.

Cons: Display not as vivid as other much more expensive models. The manual needs work. A good technical writer would do wonders for it. The unit was not packaged well for shipping. The shipping department at Newegg needs trainning and oversight. This was not the first item I've received that was poorly packaged. I suspect that the left key on the frame was damaged in shipping for it didn't work. Fortunately there is a work around so the left key was not required.

Other Thoughts: In general Newegg has always been very good with customer service, pricing, and quality of goods. In short they are a pleasure to deal with. Its unfortunate that those responsible for the packaging of items for shipping do not display the same attention to detail as the rest of the organization. Shock absorbing material should be placed to protect the item being shipped.

4 out of 5 eggsNot Bad for the Price

Pros: 1. Cost - $99 for 10" with 1024x768 is a great price
2. Features - Again, for $99 this thing beats the feature set of most $200+ frames

Cons: There is only one con and that is the picture quality. I should mention that I came from a beautiful Aluratek 10" frame that cost 80% more, but didn't last a year. While I am upset about the early death with no warranty on the Aluratek, I have to say that the picture quality is night and day. This isn't a bad display for things like family photos, but if you have a good digital SLR and you take landscape photos, etc., this is not the frame for you. Look for a frame with a gloss coating.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding

Pros: I could only find one review on the web - at Newegg. So I took a chance. Need not have worried. This is a great buy. Build and image quality are excellent. Functionality is comprehensive - they have pretty much though of everything. The manual and their website are both easy to navigate - but this device is pretty intuitive, you can wing it and will figure most things out in no time. Images on internal memory, SD card and a USB flash drive all displayed fine. Video performance is very good, no issues with xvid movies. Internal memory should be good for 500+ images. Nice calendar/clock feature. Useful (tiny) remote control works well. Comes with a smart cherry frame and a spare frame in black. From opening the box to watching first images took 2 to 3 minutes. Love it.

Cons: Internal speakers sound tinny - but it's not a stereo system and they have provided a headphone socket.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: Resolution and clarity are great. Finally a digital frame with more functionality and configuration options than most of the competition. I purchased before any reviews were posted, which I normally don't do. However I am very pleased with everything so far and it is much better than my higher priced Kodak frame.

Cons: Haven't found anything worthy of notice.
