B125-150 Diagram

Don't sacrifice quality for distance—extend an HDMI signal up to 230 feet! The Tripp Lite B125-150 HDMI Over Dual Cat5/6 Extender delivers peak video performance by HDMI-enabled digital video components, assuring that you enjoy the crystal-clear picture and full, rich sound. It automatically equalizes and compensates for deteriorating signals over long distances in order to extend a clear signal across distances beyond the HDMI 16-ft. (5-meter) limitation. It supports resolutions of up to 1080p (24Hz), and is HDCP-compliant. An AC power supply is included for powering the remote unit.

  • Photo The Smart Solution for Home Theater and A/V Applications The B125-150 can be used to connect HDMI-enabled HDTV display devices (such as HDTVs, plasma displays, LCD TVs and projectors) to HDMI-enabled digital video sources (such as digital set-top boxes, DVD/DVD-R players and AV receivers). Without an HDMI connection, you'd need three video connections for high-definition video and six audio connections for high-resolution audio.
  • Photo Greater Distance—Greater Flexibility The Tripp Lite HDMI Over Dual Cat5/6 Extender allows extension of an HDMI signal beyond the 16-ft. (5-meter) distance limitation. The B125-150 can extend a 1080p/24Hz resolution up to 115 ft., a 720p/24Hz resolution up to 196 ft., and a 480p/24Hz resolution up to 230 ft.
  • Photo Ultimate Digital Video and Sound Quality The B125-150 HDMI Over Dual Cat5/6 Extender creates a pure digital connection between HDMI-enabled digital video components, with video resolution up to 1080p. The extender provides fully automatic equalization up to 40dB and also eliminates equipment noise in the viewing environment, assuring high definition sound quality.
  • Photo LEDs Indicate Signal Status The remote unit has two status LEDs for signal transmission assurance. A green LED indicates that the unit is receiving power and a red LED indicates when the unit is not receiving a working signal.
  • Photo Superior Quality Assures Error-Free Signal Transfer The B125-150 is manufactured using top-quality materials and protocols. It is both HDMI- and HDCP compliant. 5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product!

Pros: Works exactly as advertised, bought several of these for multiple restaurant HD displays, have been installed and running flawlessly for a year now. None of the displays has ever even flickered at 1080 resolution, as long as you're within 100ft you should be fine, tested one at 120ft and it flickers every now and then, just as advertised stay under the limit and it should work flawlessly, I'm also using Cat6 wiring for the runs. Works well on monitors too, currently extending a touchscreen monitor with one of these..

Cons: There seems to be no difference in performance with or without the power adapter, not really a Con, I still use the adapters anyways.

Other Thoughts: Would totally recommend this to anyone needing to extend 1080p signal up to 100ft away..

1 out of 5 eggsProduct Failed

Pros: Easy to install. Tripp Lite tech support is easy to contact. Warranty is selling point.

Cons: Unfortunately, the product does not work. Tripp Lite provided me with a replacement. I had to pay the $10.00 return shipping. Both units passed a 1080i signal from my receiver to my TV when unplugged. When I plugged in the included power supply, the 1080i signal disappeared, while a 1080p signal flickered in and out. I have since been in touch with Tripp Lite to discuss this issue. Three times now they promise to have someone call me to discuss the problem, but no one ever does. Unfortunately, I am now unable to return the unit for a refund as it has been more than 30 days.

Other Thoughts: I am no stranger to using these types of extenders. I have used several different brands over the last 7 years and they usually last about 18 months, average. This is the first time I have used a Tripp Lite extender. I spent a considerable amount of time ensuring the failed signal was not due to an environmental issue. I even took my Yamaha receiver in to be tested. I replaced all my cables. I can now say with 100% certainty the issue is with the Tripp Lite extender.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: The extenders worked well. I have a 120 foot length of Cat 5 being used to record HD video from a high quality camera using HDMI for a local attraction thrill ride and the video worked seamlessly with great 1080p quality.

Cons: The only con I could find is that, when using the 2 Cat5 cables, you want to make sure, first of all, that they are terminated correctly and that they are plugged into the correct ports in both the input and output extenders. If they are backwards, it will not work. This is really just a minor thing so as long as you have the Cat5 cables terminated correctly and they are plugged into the extenders the right way, it works great.

Other Thoughts: I would definitely use these again. The other nice thing about these is that they only have to be powered on the output end. this made it nice since the locations where the cameras are going to be used makes it a plug-and-play application without the end user needing to have to figure out complicated wire diagrams to plug everything in.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: I installed this for my work. We had prerun cat5 in our walls for a computer to tv setup. This was simple plug and play. Works perfectly. The video and sound came across nice and clear.

Cons: None at this time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat solution for long video runs

Pros: Works as advertised. An affordable solution for a long hdmi video run. Gives a great picture paired with our projector. Still working 2+ years later!

Cons: Having to terminate your own Cat5e cables! Not really a con.

Other Thoughts: We did a church installation of sound and video and utilized the for our video source. Mounting this projector in the old, high ceiling church meant we could not get close enough to the video source for an HDMI run. Overall we have around 85 feet from our sound/video booth to the projector.

Had fun running the cables through the attic (I guess you would call it that) in the old church (built 1928). There was probably around 12ft of head room in there! Could be another storey for the building! They really overbuilt things back then...built for keeps!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Works great, sending 1080P to a projector about 70' away.

Cons: none yet...

Other Thoughts: Not sure if sound will pass though, I have not checked that yet.
