A masterpiece of sound and design, the Synergy Series Sub-10 shakes things up with its rock-solid performances. Its extraordinary power adds a dose of "reality" to movie explosions and other special effects, as well as reveals commonly elusive lower musical tones.

The Sub-10 reaches deeper and hits harder thanks to a 10-inch, down-firing driver coupled to a highly efficient BASH amplifier that creates 200 watts of continuous power and 420 watts of dynamic power. The subwoofer's built-in, steep-slope (24dB/octave) low-pass crossover is continuously adjustable from 40 to 120Hz. A phase control facilitates acoustical integration of the subwoofer with the other speakers in the system. An "auto power" feature enables the subwoofer to turn itself on and off (standby) automatically, based on the presence or absence of an audio signal. A blue/red dual color LED display on the front of the subwoofer indicates whether the unit is on or in standby mode.

In addition to delivering a bass impact that's beyond restraint, the Sub-10 features a new industrial design that is refined and aggressive. Available in a black finish with titanium accents, this extraordinary subwoofer matches the entire Synergy Series lineup in both style and performance. With its charged presence and room-rocking abilities, the Sub-10 delivers an adrenaline rush of sound that will impress your friends and provide years of high-quality audio entertainment.

  • newegg Impressive Bass The Klipsch Synergy Sub-10 boasts a 10" fiber-composite cone, down-firing woofer driver to deliver deep, accurate and tight bass, making your movies and music more realistic.
  • newegg High Dynamic Power Capable of handling 420W dynamic power, the Klipsch Synergy Sub-10 subwoofer delivers top-notch bass sound, making it an ideal match for your speaker system.
  • newegg BASH Technology The BASH technology is a successful marriage of high efficiency, low distortion, high bandwidth, low EMI and sound quality resulting in the most cost effective solution.

2 out of 5 eggsAMP DIED

Pros: Good sub for the price, especially if you can catch it on sale at Newegg for ~$170

Cons: Poor Quality!!! Although this sub gave me about three years of service (lightly used), the amp blew upon moving it to my new home. After searching online I found this is a common problem with Klipsch subs. A replacement amp from Klipsch is ~$150, so you can practically buy a new sub.

On a side note when I was in college I purchase Klipsch 5.1 Promedia speakers for my computer. Motherboard/Amp died less than two years. Needless to say, I will never purchase Klipsch products again.
After researching HSU Research subs provide great sound, build quality, and value. Worth the extra money.

Other Thoughts: I was a big Klipsch fan, but after two of their products have failed on me, it is clear the quality of their products are not what they used to be. I would highly recommend looking for a sub that will last.

3 out of 5 eggsAbout service

Pros: Price. Klipsch honored the warranty when the amp died, after ten months of light usage.

Cons: Build quality just isn't up to Klipsch standards.

Other Thoughts: It was $180.00 bucks.

5 out of 5 eggsBOOOOOMMMM

Pros: I got a noise complaint within the first hour.

Cons: Like my F20 floor speakers, it don't make waffles either.

Other Thoughts: I pair this with a set of F20 floor speakers, and a set of Klipsch quintets to make a 7.1 system. The work fantastic together, and really make my music/movies/video games come alive. I cannot recommend Klipsch enough.

3 out of 5 eggsDECENT SUB but its 60 watts not 200

Pros: Has a nice built in adjustable crossover. Works best at just past half way. Gains work best at 25% to 60% after that it makes no difference.

The best thing about this particular sub is the driver has an unusually high sensitivity rating, which makes it much louder at any given input value than a like speaker with a lower sensitivity rating. The reason i re-purposed the driver.

Cons: In storage for a month the amp stopped working. The compactors had popped, and when powering it on it had causing the board to burn up.

When i took it apart to repair it, I was quite disappointed in the components used. Finding parts for it were not easy. I was going to build my own amp, but I ended up hooking it up direct to my 60 watt rotel amp with a crossover which pushes it harder than the stock amp could. so this is how i come tot he conclusion that the stock amp is less than 50 watts. Also when looking up the part numbers I kept getting info the amp was 35 watts

5 out of 5 eggsGreat sub

Pros: Great, clean, booming bass. Plenty of power. Wound up buying two of these, for two different systems. Each system is used for a different purpose. One for listening to music, older rock, jazz and classical. The other for Home Theater. Works great in both uses!

Cons: None yet.. Just waiting to see how long they last. Some comments about these leaves one wondering? So far, no problems, and systems used every day for up to 5 hours per day. I've had them for about 4 months now.

Other Thoughts: Great addition to both my personal listening room, as well as to my Home Theater system. I bought one of these for my personal Listening room, and liked it so well that I purchased a second for my home theater system.
With my personal system, I incorporated a a graphic equalizer and paired it with the Klipsch Icon's, an older M-1 series Kenwood amp, pre-amp & tuner. After adjusting the equlaizer for what I felt the room lacked, the sound is warm, full and wonderful. Enough top end out of the Icons for my liking, and plenty of bass out of the Synergy sub. I have sat and listened for up to 5 hours in a row and still not get fatigued of the sound.. Other systems I have heard, sound fine at first, but after about 30 minutes or so, the sound becomes grating, and annoying. This set-up is sweet and smooth. Never grating or annoying. This sub just completed the sound. I never have to turn the sub above about 1/3 volume, and I used the speaker terminal connectors on the sub, and then passed that signal off to the Icons. Worth the money and the investment, although this system is far from BIG BUCKS.
Worked equally well in the home theater with Boston Acoustic HSi480's Ceiling installed 5 way surround speakers, Onkiyo TX-SR674 and this sub. Again, never turned the sub power up beyond 1/2 to get more than enough bass response. Movies rattle the house, before the speaker sounds bad.
Be prepared to play with the crossover frequency, as your taste and other speakers will require the sub to balance it's response frequencies to those speakers needs.

5 out of 5 eggsShakes the House!!

Pros: And to thing I wanted to buy two at first. So my Living room is about average size. (18.5'-23' two story ceilings) I had to turn the bass down on my receiver. (Yamaha RX-V673)
I was playing music and my daughter asked me to turn it down it was giving her a headache. LOL

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: Don't forget to buy a cable... Just throwing out the reminder. I didn't even think about a cable until it arrived at my door. SMH!!

1 out of 5 eggsSounded great untill it died

Pros: Great room filling base. When it worked.

Cons: Died at 7 months. packing was terrible, box fell apart in shipping. I know I should have returned it right away but it looked ok and worked. For 7 month.

Other Thoughts: I read a fair number of reviews regarding dead units, I did not expect problems because I ran it at about 1/3 volume. But it died anyway. I doubt if I will buy Klipsch again.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: Sounds great.

Cons: Miserable lights (blue and red). Klipsch still warranties their discontinued products. It seems a shame that the turnover of products seems so short (approx. every three years).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat sub!

Pros: Got it cheap on a newegg sale. Klipsch is a solid brand in the home theatre arena. This sub sounds great in a large room paired with some in-ceiling speakers for a good 5.1 system.

Cons: None so far.
