4 out of 5 eggsmore then expected

Pros: using with a pioneer vsx 822k, a lot more sound then I was expecting, sub output is good with my 12x18 room, the mids could be a little stronger, but the speakers output is good for the design

Cons: center channel speaker input tab broke on first press not sure if it's worth the rma so I inserted a gob of wire into that input hole. mid bass could be a little stronger out of the sattelite speakers, but is decent for the speaker design.

Other Thoughts: I think stronger plastic could be used for the speaker wire input tabs, and almost every single rubber bumper foot that you install onto the rear of the mounting surface to wall fell off right away.... I would recommend these to a friend, it's not a big tower speaker sound, so if that is what you are expecting move along.. but the system packs a punch for a satellite system. -1 egg for the broken input tab.

2 out of 5 eggsStay away from Klipsch powered anything

Pros: Inexpensive. Speakers themselves are OK. There is definitely a distinctive "Klipsch sound".

Cons: Klipsch amplifiers have an ASTOUNDING failure rate.

Do a little Googling, be amazed.

Hum, buzz, blown fuses are all part of the package.

I have four very expensive Klipsch speakers with built-in powered subs, and all four amps have failed. The amps have been repaired several times, but the design itself is flawed, and I just stopped throwing away money on them - isolated the subs and am driving them with an external amp.

The speakers are fine. The amps are not.

Other Thoughts: Do some Google research, or just read the threads on Klipsch's own forums.

3 out of 5 eggsSub Woofer buzz

Pros: Good Deal

Cons: Sub Woofer buzzes when its off and even when its not connected to the receiver at all, sometimes it sounds like thunder, or a constant rumbling, I have not had this issue with other subs before, the center and satellites are fine, quality wise a little better than a really good sound bar.

Other Thoughts: considering returning but will call Klipsch first to see if there is something I am missing

5 out of 5 eggsthe good half

Pros: Very good speaker system. My Yamaha receivercoupled with the speakers makes beautiful music on the FM band, and sounds just as good when the A/V connection chooses to work properly.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I wish I had held off a while and got an Oykno A/V receiver to go with the Klipsch speakers.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: The sound is amazing! Great range out of every speaker. Sub is so powerful I always have to turn it down to watch action movies. But thats not a bad thing. It even comes with wall mounts for each speaker.

Cons: Not really any. I guess it would be that it comes with rubber stickon feet for each speaker but you have to do it yourself if you want them on. I have not gotten around to that as i mounted the back ones and plan to mount the front. They keep falling off my tv stand which isn't a problem, its because i refuse to apply the feet.

Other Thoughts: Amazing sound! Amazing value! No complaints

5 out of 5 eggsNice Speakers

Pros: Great sound for how small they are. The base sounds good, turned them to half way and it rumbles good with movies.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: got mine as an open box. was worried something might be wrong, or scratched up, but there not. We don't need a base that will shake the house, so these work really nice.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat entry level speakers

Pros: Decent sound, very sleek looks, sub-woofer better than expected (plus love the auto setting), good starter sound on a tight budget

Cons: could use some more umpf but this can't be considered a con since it's a starter package.

1 out of 5 eggsOverpriced

Pros: Has all speakers for a 5.1 system.

Cons: These sounded OK for several hours, then they had a loud vibration that only stopped when you turned them off. After 30 minutes of cooling they would work OK for another few hours then the same loud vibrations would return. The sound was always "tinney", and the sub distorts too easily.

Other Thoughts: If you want "cheap" speakers buy these, but you know what you get when you go "cheap". These will be put into a "yard sell" and I'll do a better investigation next time. Klipsch must have wrote the other reviews about these speakers.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal

Pros: Speaker quality is exceptional.

Cons: The sub is the MAJOR downfall of this set. This subwoofer can't hit very hard or low. The decibel drop on the sub is a bit lacking from 60-70hz. 15 db drop. The center channel only has one speaker in it, compared to the 500.1 set which has 2 + the horn.

Other Thoughts: For the price, when on sale, cannot be beat. Got these on sale for about 250, free shipping. Noticed these go on sale quite often, would recommend Klipsch anyday, but get a different subwoofer.
