5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Improvement of my previous speaker system.
Nicely shielded system satellite speakers. easy mount system but mounting system might need to be modified. All depends how you wish to mount.
Subwoofer could use a little more power. Seems to flutter at different frequencies

Cons: Sub could use a little more power.
There are those people who are not aware of how or where to get mounting systems. Would be helpful for those to provide links or options of external mounting companies.

Other Thoughts: Good for it's money

5 out of 5 eggsfantastic for mid range home theater

Pros: Paired with Onkyo TX-SR608 receiver, they sound beautiful. No distortion. Great price $299 on sale. Can't be beat for the value.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I had no damage on my shipment through newegg, contained all the mounting screws and the manual.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat speakers

Pros: Great sound, look great. I've had these for about 9 months plugged into an Onkyo TX-SR608 reciever and I am really happy with the quality of the sound.

Cons: I agree with other reviews, the clips on the back are abit cheap but it really wasn't a big deal, however the screw in connector types would be much better.

Other Thoughts: Got these with promo code for 299.99 and at that price I'm ripping newegg off!!! Even at 499 i think you get what you pay for (in a good way.)

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Speaker Set!

Pros: Excellent build quality, the woofers and tweeters are made of aluminum, but it sounds great. Considering BOSE speakers are made of paper, this is a great deal.

The sound is nice and detailed. You can hear everything you didn't realize was there. The speakers are very powerful and they go incredibly loud without distorting at all. In fact, I think it sounds much better at higher volumes. There is no noticeable distortion on any of the satellites.

The price is unbeatable for what you're getting. I don't regret buying these for a minute. I got them on sale for around $400 back in May 2011, and I have been loving these ever since.

Cons: The subwoofer could be a bit better. When playing songs with a lot of bass in them at _very_ high volumes (higher than -5 dB), it distorts a little bit but it's not that noticeable. You can always buy another sub for the set if it bothers you. I find it perfectly fine.

Other Thoughts: I have these speakers paired with a Yamaha RX-v467 receiver, and THX-certified 16 gauge monster cable, as well as a Monster 400sw subwoofer cable. I doubt the cable makes much of a difference in sound quality, but these sound great! I have multiple pairs of speakers in my house, and these sound the best by far. Try to get them when they are on sale for around $400, and there's no question as to which set you should get, as for that price, I don't think you can get any better than this. I'm sure Klipsch's reference series sounds a lot better than this, but those are a lot more expensive.

5 out of 5 eggsKlipsch, what else.

Pros: Good Quality. Sleek look. Heavy built. Great price, got it for $299 :) Great bang for the buck. Subwoofer enough power to enjoy movies.

Cons: 1. Not as powerful as i expected but hey cant beat the price
2. Not a con for the speakers, but I received the box (original klipsch box) with a big hole near the subwoofer. Luckily no scratches or dents. Subwoofer is working just fine. I don't know who to blame newegg or UPS. Probably newegg since other buyers experienced the same.

Other Thoughts: Got this hooked up to a yamaha 567 receiver gives great sound. 4 satellite speakers are identical. Front speaker is very powerful. I don't know why everybody is complaining about the Wire clips. You can fit in 16 awg with no problem. If you want 14 or less you will have to use banana plugs. The 16 gauge is thick enough to provide enough juice in a regular room setup.

5 out of 5 eggsCompact & Crisp!

Pros: Compact design and beautiful gloss finish. Sub has auto feature for power conservation. Crisp sound. Better center speaker than the HD 300. Glad I went for the hd 500

Cons: Directions a little sparse, not even a wire gauge recommendation in print. Best to watch video clip from Klipsch. Would be nice to have a more swivel universal mount.

Other Thoughts: I am your average type media guy. Until now, I have been using a bookshelf surround system (aiwa) for my HT needs. We have a moderate living space & also move now and then. The compact design was just what I was looking for. Setup was easy and found it best to toss the directions and just watch the small video clip from Klipsch online. I had no problem fitting 16 gauge in the clips and actually think I could fit a smaller gauge. Like most, posts would be nice, but I had no problem with the clips. The speakers have good weight to them. My fronts arent mounted & sit on a console, so I recommend putting on the rubber tabs so they won't vibrate and move. I have these paired w/Sony str-dh810. Movies are fantastic and I get plenty of bass to rumble my easy chair. I tested with a number of movie scenes (Transformers, Star Wars II-asteroid chase, Star wars III opening battle scene). Music is not crushing but well balanced and crisp: All I can say is FANTASTIC! And under $300 makes it even better

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome for their size and value!

Pros: The sound from this set is great. I have them tied to a Denon AVR-591 (entry level Denon) and I get very good, crisp, and full mids/highs for this price range. With my receiver properly configured stereo music also sounds great. Movies will absolutely blow you away with gunshots, explosions and background effects you might not have heard before if you have been using lessor speakers.

The size is awesome for those of us with wives who don’t classify speakers as home decor. Rubber feat and wall mounts are both included. These speakers are are also durable as I dropped one off a 3 foot table onto a hard floor and it’s fine.

Overall fantastic value on sale. Full retail price would be questionable with the included sub.

Cons: I wish the sub had a bit more punch but it will shake the house in movies and sounds awesome with music. Like others have mentioned the wire clips are not great - but I did not have too bad a time getting 14 gauge wire in them.

Other Thoughts: If you need awesome 5.1 sound in a small package at a fantastic value this is it. Look for them on sale though.

4 out of 5 eggsIncomplete

Pros: Speakers should great. not as loud as expected but it does the job. Hooked up to Onkyo TX-NR609 which is awesome. Price was great with $300 off.

Cons: Speaker wire connector just like the others are talking about.

Other Thoughts: If I was to rate Newegg it would be a 2. Received product and box was damaged. There was no manual or mounting screws in the box. I called Newegg and they said they will look into it. Rep emailed me back and said there is nothing they could do and gave me manufacture #. Not the customer service I was looking for. If it was not for the great price I would not recommend buying things from Newegg.
