The Synergy Series Sub12HG hurls out enough power and bass extension to shake the foundation. It uses high-quality materials and the most reliable components to create a rock-solid impact that makes your movies and music come alive.

The Sub12HG gets its intensity from a 12-inch, down-firing driver coupled to a highly efficient BASH amplifier that creates 300 watts of continuous power and 650 watts of dynamic power. The subwoofer's built-in, steep-slope (24dB/octave) low-pass crossover is continuously adjustable from 40 to 120Hz. A phase control facilitates acoustical integration of the subwoofer with the other speakers in the system. An "auto power" feature enables the subwoofer to turn itself on and off (standby) automatically, based on the presence or absence of an audio signal. A blue/red dual color LED display on the front of the subwoofer indicates whether the unit is on or in standby mode.

In addition to its ability to play louder and go deeper than anything else in its class, the Sub12HG features a new industrial design that is refined and aggressive. Available in a black finish with titanium accents, this extraordinary subwoofer matches the entire Synergy Series lineup in both style and performance. Because it wraps technical superiority and eye-catching cosmetics into one affordable package, the Sub12HG perfectly anchors a home theater or two-channel system.

  • newegg Impressive Bass The Klipsch Synergy Sub12HG boasts a 12" fiber-composite cone, down-firing woofer driver to deliver deep, accurate and tight bass, making your movies and music more realistic.
  • newegg High Dynamic Power Capable of handling 650W dynamic power, the Klipsch Synergy Sub12HG subwoofer delivers top-notch bass sound, making it an ideal match for your speaker system.
  • newegg BASH Technology The BASH technology is a successful marriage of high efficiency, low distortion, high bandwidth, low EMI and sound quality resulting in the most cost effective solution.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Sub

Pros: Great sounding sub. I received it as part of a combo.

Cons: Makes me think my house is going to fall apart.

I am not sure if I would have bought this by itself as I already had a decent sub. But it was included as a combo with the Klipsch Quintet SL.

Other Thoughts: This sub paired with the Onkyo tx-608 and Klipsch Quintet SL sound awesome. This is coming from a 10 year old HTIB setup.

I did not have the problem with the feet as I had read on previous reviews.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat 12" sub

Pros: Smooth bass. Compares with a $650.00 Paradigm 12" sub it is replacing. Light weight, easy to handle. Unbelievable bass. Very smooth, doesn't thump like smaller subs. Shakes the whole house even at very low volume.

Cons: The power light is too bright, blinding even in a well lit room. No problem, I used a spot of black paint, then scratched a tiny hole at the tip.

5 out of 5 eggsI think I bought the last one

Pros: This just replaced a 7+ year old 10" KLH, the sound is day and night. My old sub you could hear turbulence in the port, this one has none. I like how I really don't hear the bass, I just feel it!

Good price!!!

Cons: Port is made of cardboard.

I wish I could post pictures on here but the box had 2 huge holes on the sides, product is ok though. I guess most of the items that I get that are shipped in the original box is like this, I guess I shouldn't be surprised :'(

Other Thoughts: Right after I bought this item I noticed they are now out of stock.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Great price, free shipping! I have the sub set to about 40% of what it is capable of and it still rocks the house. Very easy to adjust into my setup. Did not have any problems with shipping. Plug and play right out of the box.

Cons: Now I want to upgrade the rest of my speakers.

Other Thoughts: Best value on the market.

5 out of 5 eggsKlipsch 12 " subwoofer

Pros: Great bass to 24 Hz. Easy connectivity. Superb price and quick shipping

Cons: Blue power light is too bright.

Other Thoughts: There is probably not a better sub for less than $250. Very easy set up. Gain and crossover control allow optimization for virtually any setup. I set the crossover at 80 Hz and the gain to about 70 percent and this sub rocks for music ( classical and rock) and HD movies. This is my first, but not last, Klipsch purchase. No problems with quality or busted feet upon delivery!

5 out of 5 eggsBig boom for a great price!!

Pros: Excellent bass reproduction, movies and music. Klipsch is high quality, even in this price range.

Cons: Very large, and bright blue light is extremely annoying. U need to play around with placement.

Other Thoughts: The more space u have between the giant bass port and the wall, the bass reproduction is truly amazing for under 500.00!

5 out of 5 eggsVery Impressive

Pros: In regards to the room size, I have a very open floor plan, with nine foot high ceilings in my living room and connected kitchen. The living room opens to an entry way with a two story high ceiling leading to an upper loft and second floor. The living room itself is probably 16 by 16 foot. For these reasons, I felt that I did not want to go with less than a 12 inch sub.

I narrowed my choices down to the Polk PSW505 12" and the Klipsch Synergy Sub12. I debated for several weeks weighing things such as Polk’s lower cost, fine reputation among its customers and the reported better speaker cabinet built out of real wood. On the flip side, I really liked Klipsch’s reputation for music quality, the non directional bass feel and the greater power and lower bass range of the Klipsch.

I presume I would have been happy with either choice but when the Klipsch went on sale for within $20 of the Polk, I decided to go with the Klipsch as I had placed a priority on non directional bass.

Cons: This thing as big as a small shipping trunk. However, you need a large cabinet to hold this large downfiring sub.

Other Thoughts: I immediately checked for cracked cabinet feet that some customers have reported but I had no such issues.

My first test of the sub was playing a blue ray version of the train movie Unstoppable. I could very easily feel the train not only in my living room but also upstairs as well and the sound was incredible.

I then turned on a March Madness basketball game. I found myself smiling when I could feel the ball hitting the back rim or bouncing across the court floor while I stood in my kitchen. Finally, I turned on Pandora to listen to music.

All I can say is that I am very impressed with the results. I know that some guys have said their wives do not like their subwoofers. I can tell you that is not the case with my wife. She is equally appreciative of the results from the sub as I am.

I am currently have the sub attached to a sound bar. At some point in the future I will replace that sound bar with a receiver and the Klipsch Synergy subpanel speaker system.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent performance

Pros: This sub seriously rocks. Literally. It replaced a cheaper 12" front-firing sub that had finally gone south on us. Up until then, I figured that a sub is a sub is a sub. How much more wrong could I be? The base you get out of this is unbelievable (on tame, average settings). Completely changes our entire movie/TV watch experience. Seeing a huge difference even on TV-recorded content. Great features and quality build (except for the feet -- more on that below). Couldn't be happier.

Cons: Yes, the first unit we received had a broken foot. There was some, minor damage to the box, but nothing that you would be normally too concerned about. When I opened up the box, though, there it was; one of the feet was snapped off (which makes a down-firing sub kinda useless). I blame this more on Klipsh than on UPS; they could have supported the feet better in their packaging, and/or they could have designed the feet to not be quite so fragile.

The reason I still give this 5/5 eggs is that Newegg was extraordinarily awesome in how they handled the replacement. Got the new sub 2 days later and everything is grand. I am not too concerned with the feet in normal everyday usage. Also, they look as if they would be easy to replace if you ever did damage them in the future (assuming you can easily get a replacement part from Klipsh).

Other Thoughts: This experience once again reinforced to me why I like dealing with Newegg. Their customer service is the best out there. Klipsh owes them big-time for this one.

5 out of 5 eggsA great powerful sub

Pros: I replaced my 10" Mirage 150 with this one and got what I expected...MORE bass...seems very clean and hard..I'm no audiophile, but I'm very happy with it...not that the Mirage was a slouch though! Newegg had a great $239 price!!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Newegg shipped it fast and nothing was broken in the factory box..

5 out of 5 eggsWow Awesome!

Pros: This thing is a beast! I had a YAMAHA SW315 10" 250W that I moved to my room. This thing seems to be more powerful than the Yamaha. Both subs are amazing though but this one seems to fill the living room with more bass. The sub looks and feels quality like all Klipsch products.

Cons: It might be too big for some people. The frequency response for this isn't as good as the Yamaha.
