5 out of 5 eggsgreat upgrade

Pros: These things are huge almost 4 ft tall replacements for the ones that came with my Logitech 5500 system that puts out 65 watts per channel and I can't turn it up all the way without getting evicted. I also got the S 10 surround speakers and the C 10 center. For a complete Klipsch 5.1 system the rocks.

Cons: non

Other Thoughts: Still using my 10" 188 watt woofer that contains the amp to run all the speakers 65 watts each front and surround and 69 watts for the center channel.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic But sub needed

Pros: Superb high end.....I even thought about buying some Tatrix horns and installing them in some old legacy speakers I have.
Mid range is ok....bass ok....but is somewhat lacking......very nice overall look and quality finish........overall superb for the money....I paid 169.00 each.

Cons: You will absolutely need a sub woofer.....as it's lacking...the real...low end.
I recommend the JBL 12 inch unit....get it direct from JBL site for 199.00 on sale.....fantastic.....you won't be sorry. It makes it all come alive.

Other Thoughts: I also recommend the JBL. ES-90......price just a hair higher ...but the JBLS look better.....and have a more balanced sound and much better midrange . GET THEM AT JBL.COM DIRECT...about 199.00 ea

I'm running the KLIPSCH F30 for left and right.....a JBL ES-90 for center speaker......and 2 JBL. ES-80 for the rear.....and of course the JBL 12" sub.....for the lows. Movies are now all time......a total experience.....thank you KLIPSCH and JBL...!

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice speakers

Pros: Very good lows, good mid range

Cons: looks

Other Thoughts: These speakers are heavy and tall. They certainly look cheap, when compared to other Klipsch, even Polk-Audio. But boy, they do sound good. Make sure that you have enough juice in your receiver. Make sure that you burn them first and have adequate woofer support.

5 out of 5 eggsWOO!!!

Pros: Great sound, very large, appealing looks, free shipping, and the price point was perfect!

Cons: None for me!

Other Thoughts: I upgraded to these from the F-20's and am extremely pleased! I've only had them for the day so far, but from what I've already heard, I'll be very happy for quite some time! I've got these, the C-20, a pair of B-20's, four S-20's, an SVS cylinder sub, and a Sony AVR in the driver seat that makes me feel like I'm in acoustic heaven. A BIG thanks to Newegg and to Klipsch!!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Speakers

Pros: Great sound, non fatiguing, you can listen to these for hours on end, price was a fantastic deal!

Cons: Shipping seams to be lacking, both speakers arrived in damaged boxes.

Other Thoughts: I have used the Klipsch Reference series speakers since the mid nineties. I need speakers for my cabin and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. I found these after an extensive search for the KF-28(pretty much the same speaker)
From the sound of these speakers, Klipsch has continued to improve upon their already fantastic sound.
Thanks New Egg for partnering with such a fantastic company!

4 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Sound great.
Very good bass for what it is.
They look quite nice if you go for black wood for visible grain.
Impressively large.

Cons: Dimensions given here are only the wooden box the speakers are set in. It does not include the front bezel or the feet. Add 2" to all 3 dimensions for accurate overall values. -1 egg because this could actually cause someone a lot of trouble. safe values for site planning are 44"Hx18"Dx12"W.
Possibly too large for some.

Other Thoughts: Disclaimer: I am no audiophile, and the number of >$200 speakers I can compare it to is small.
The audio is great. When watching movies, I am sometimes tricked into thinking a background noise is actually in my house. For music, good recordings with appropriate acoustics sound like they are in the room.
The bass is sufficient for almost any normal music. I did most of my testing with Cake, which sounded just about identical with and without a sub. I broke down and bought a 10" sub because I noticed that ocean wave noise did not sound/feel quite right.

If you have a sub, set these to "small" on your receiver. If you don't have a sub, set these to "large". "Large" means that the speaker gets sent the entire signal, while "small" means that the lower frequencies are filtered and passed exclusively to the sub. I ended up with a cutoff of 120Hz because 40-120Hz all sounded the same, and I wanted to push as much power to the sub as possible for higher overall max volume.

The response on these is amazing. Very efficient, and very high max output.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I was looking for!

Pros: Sounds crisp, and clear. Wasn't sure if my Yamaha RX-V477 receiver would be enough to push these, but doesn't have a problem at all!

Can even hear these in the front yard while doing yard work A++

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsReally Big what a deal

Pros: Cabinets are very tight. extremely efficient speaker gets very loud quickly with very little current. You can power these with a sub $500.00 receiver and you won't be disappointed with the reproduction of the sound quality. The tweeter horn creates the most clear highs I've ever heard from a speaker in this price range. The base is strong but not booming. The ports are on the fronts of the speakers so you can place them rite next to the wall.

Cons: The black ash vinyl cover is really under par for klipsch. Really looks cheap. There is also this hideous plastic piece that resembles a duck bill that sits on top of these and the B-20s that I was unaware of. I don't know why Klipsch would design those plastic parts on top of the speakers?. The way the grille attach to the speaker is like a 1st year engineering student designed the plastic studs. The plastic feet are another area where Klipsch dropped the ball.

Other Thoughts: Although there are many cons with the exterior fit and finish the speakers sound amazing. If you don't mind an ugly duckling in your theater or music room. You can't go wrong with the sonic pleasantry that these speakers deliver.. My wife couldn't stand looking at them so they are now resinated to the basement and the man cave. Replaced with two RF-82 II B I would recommend these to anyone that is looking for a decent speaker at rock bottom pricing,
