Question 2

I can't find any cable in box. Is this intended to sell without cables?

That is correct. Since most setups using speakers like these are in a custom layout in regards to the room, it wouldn't be much help for Klipsch to include speaker wire.

None of my speakers had wire with them, so a bit of poking around and you'll find what you need. I bought a 250' roll of 12ga wire from a company called InstallBay. So far, so good, and I even had a little bit left after doing a 7 channel setup in a ~10x20 room.

Question 3

I have a couple of old, worn out Altec Lansing bookshelf speakers I'd like to replace with these.  What do I need to hook them up to my PC?

You would need a receiver or a usb audio amplifier that has enough power to handle these speakers. I have these speakers connected to my pc via an onkyo receiver thru optical audio cable. I have also the 4in center channel for movie watching. They sound terrific and they don't use a bunch of space..

Can these be used as the two rear speakers in 5.1 surround sound system?

Yes. But if you intend to listen to music, these speakers sound best in a 2.1 stereo set up, ideally with a good quality tube amp such as the GLOW Audio or Jolida or nOrh tube amplifier. It will knock your socks off and leave you breathless. Surround sound is not the format for critical listening of music.

Question 5

I want to use these speakers as front left and front right speakers. I have height constraint, can I place them laterally on my cabinet below my 55" LED Tv ?

I can't see why having them horizontal rather than vertical would cause any issues. They're solidly constructed, so they should be fine on their side.

I wouldn't recommend putting a 55" tv on top of them, however. Not sure if that is your intention or not.

Question 6

I am planning to use them as rear surround speakers. can these be wall mounted? does this come with the mounting hardware?

They have a built in mounting keyhole, but no other hardware is included. All you need is a heavy duty sheet rock anchor w/screw to mount flush to the wall.  I haven't mounted these but I did mount a couple sets of the S-10's for surround speakers. They have the same keyhole for mounting.

Feel silly asking this question but...   can these amazing looking speakers be connected directly to a computer? Or do they have RCA inputs? Does one need a separate device to use them?  Arigato!  Thank you.

The only connections to the speakers are wire posts.  You could get a 2-wire to RCA (or 3.5mm jack) connection from your local electronics store which would work.  BUT... you still need an amplifier to really get the full benefit of the speakers.   You might think about getting a decent home theater or stereo receiver and output from your computer to the receiver and from the receiver to the speakers!  That would be kicking!  Hope this helps.

Measured with front cover attached, which affects the depth slightly.
Height measured from top of central front arch to bottom.

Also, if you put the little rubber feet on the bottom, might add an 1/8" to the hight.

Are these speakers compatible with a teac tn300 turntable with built in pre amp?

I don't know, it would be best to contact Klipsh. If they will work with your system, the sound is really great. We use them for gaming, movies and music.

I have Energy Con 22's floor speakers with Klipsch SC-3 center speaker and would like your recomendatio of speakers to work well placed front high on top of our amoir ?

Would like to get good surround home theater sound.

The Energy Connoisseur 22, a nice speaker by the way, is rated at 86 dB SPL. The Klipsch B-20 is rated at 93 dB SPL. That is a significant mismatch so that the Klipsch will probably play noticeably louder than the Energy speakers.

As far as surround sound, this is OK for hollywood movies but NOT good for listening to music. Stereo remains the best way to enjoy high fidelity sound. If possible you might have your surround system for action movies, but when engaging in critical listening of a musical performance, you should have a true stereo system with the speakers placed properly for best sound stage and imaging.  And preferably, use a good single ended tube amp such as the GLOW Audio Amp One, Zen Triode, or nOrh SE-9 for that three dimensional, hyper realistic sound played the way the studio engineers and musicians intended it.

I have both types of systems depending on what I am listening to, but if I had to choose one, surround sound or stereo, it would be STEREO, hands down. And, a quality stereo tube amplifier blows away most any surround sound receiver. Without a doubt!
