5 out of 5 eggsklipsch sw112, newegg

Pros: very solid construction, bass is hard, loud, & low, still need to tweak a few things on my receiver mess with the gain, & crossover on the unit. and I'll probably up grade to a good subwoofer cable. awesome product so far. & new egg got it here fast and safe, for a excellent value I bought this to replace a skw580 that came with my onkyo 7.1 surround sound, and I'm initially impressed, I will up date this review once I get a chance to break it in.

Cons: heavy

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a steal !!!

Pros: This is probably the best deal I have ever gotten on a sub. This trumps my Polk PSW110 on every front. The bass is clean low and accurate. If you want great bass for your stereo or home theater this is the onw to buy without breaking the bank. This is to much sub right now as I live in a duplex. However overhead equals sound quality and more dynamic sound. Frankly my room is 11x18, when I turn this puppy up it is to much for the room as I hear reflections off of every wall. Will shake the entire house, after I was done with my demo I had to fix pictures as they were crooked on the walls. Now I know there are better subs out there in the $600 + range. But for most people that's a lot of money to spend. If your on the fence about this get it, you will not be disappointed. Thanks Newegg for another great deal. I have this matched with Polk monitor 60s, 40s, CS1, and OWM 3s also form Newegg. And I could not be more pleased. My number one recommendation for anyone with a set up is to get transducers for your furniture. I made a homemade one out of an old 8" powered subwoofer, it added a new dimension to my movie viewing experience. My home theatre is now a better experience than going to the theatres, as last time I went it was lackluster. The SW112 is a solid sub and transformed my setup with detailed deep bass that seamlessly blends with my other speakers.

Cons: Only thing I can spot is the owners manual is very vague and there were a few small blemishes on subwoofer cone and surround. Probably from manufacturing idk. But it is really not an issue as you can only see them if you look very closely and is covered by the grill.

Other Thoughts: If your in the market for a sub and your budget is $500 or less. this is your guy because it will trump everything you can find less than that. You could even get two if that is your budget.

5 out of 5 eggsSW-112 Subwoofer

Pros: Very low base. Powerfull!

Cons: Due to the 12" speaker, this woofer does not hit the base frequencies between about 160 Hz up to 300 Hz very well.
But any 12" speaker would have that limitation.

Other Thoughts: This speaker shakes my living room so hard that the Christmas decorations my wife hung on the front window bounce around and fall off the window. Its the perfect size for a 12' x 19' room. I must note that it does not hit the higher base frequencies very well (its really only for freq below 150 hz or so). I had to reconnect my old 8' sub and set the freq cutoff on the Klipsch very low to make sure it doesn't interfere with my 8' sony at 150hz - 300hz frequencies. The two together sound great.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Sub

Pros: Clean sound, hits low, sounds FANTASTIC in hometheater applications. Plenty of power. Clean looking. Paid $380 which I think is about right. Sounds identical to the RW-12d. Still haven't gotten it even close to it's limit due to fear of neighbors getting upset (I can hear it outside my house easily when set to 0.0 setting)

Cons: Large, not as musical as it could be. But then again it sounds better musically than any other home sub I have come across. Slightly boomy at times. Doesn't have a low pass input (you can't feed the speaker line into the sub and have it output to your speakers. pretty much have to use the LFE port)

Other Thoughts: I have it connected to a denon 2311CI and paired with RF-82's and the full setup really is tremendous. When I say it's fantastic in HT, I mean it. Audyssey set it to a gain of -2, so there really is a lot more headroom possible than I even come close to utilizing.
