The Klipsch Gallery G-12 LCRS may look innocent, but the punch it packs is nothing short of jaw dropping. Best of all, it performs perfectly when utilized as a left, right, center or surround speaker.

  • newegg Elegant design Designed with modern décor in mind, each Klipsch Gallery G12 occupies minimal space. The elegant, injection molded polymer cabinet has a front baffle that curves on both sides to create both a highly aesthetic appearance and a solid, low-resonant structure. The detailed, twelve-step cabinet finishing process achieves a sleek, high-quality piano black high gloss luster that perfectly blends into any interior setting. The high quality dark tint, tempered glass bass allows flexible vertical or horizontal speaker placement on stands, tables or shelves and provides an elegant contrast to the high gloss speaker.
  • newegg TRACTRIX HORN Exclusive Klipsch technology with a refined 90° x 90° dispersion pattern expands the prime listening area and improves dynamics, increases soundstage dimension and produces pinpoint imaging for an enhanced listening experience. The symmetrical horn dispersion pattern allows placement of the speakers vertically or horizontally, on its included glass base or mounted on a wall, and covers all dimensions of a typical listening area.
  • newegg TWEETER WITH LINEAR TRAVEL SUSPENSION (LTS) Combined with the Tractrix Horn, the one-inch, solid-formed, very lightweight metallic diaphragm works in conjunction with a precise phasing plug at the horn throat to create a highly efficient driver with excellent transient response and lack of distortion. The new Linear Travel Suspension assures the most precise diaphragm excursion, increasing high-frequency detail and smoothness.
  • newegg LONG-THROW INJECTION MOLDED GRAPHITE WOOFER A woofer with a light, yet very stiff diaphragm matched with a large motor structure, designed for maximum controlled excursion to reproduce balanced bass output that rivals speakers twice its size.
  • newegg SIDE-FIRING PORT Perfectly matched with the cabinet and woofer, precisely flared to minimize turbulence and distortion, and positioned to be fully functional wherever the speaker is placed or mounted.
  • newegg UNIQUE FRAMELESS, ACOUSTICALLY INVISIBLE GRILLE With the thinnest grille ever to come from Klipsch (one-half the thickness of a credit card), the sound is equally detailed with the grille on or off. With it off, the high gloss appearance and fine lines of the speaker are preserved due to the lack of visible fasteners on the speaker baffle made capable by a unique magnetic grille rod attachment.

4 out of 5 eggsUse as component speakers

Pros: The molded tweeters in the Gallery series speakers are excellent. I can see how they would complement the tweeters in a Polk RTi system. To repeat the previous comments, the finish is very high quality and they look beautiful with or without the cover. They have a good sound stage and depth with some reflection from the port on the right side.

Cons: The G-12's are not full range speakers and have limited midrange and no bass. The low end of the frequency range specified seems to be misleading based on my listening. The speaker may sound better if the 3" driver provided stronger midrange to match the more efficient tweeter.

Other Thoughts: When wall mounted, these are thinner than my LED TV. The G-12 doesn't come with a wall mounting bracket like the G-28. They do sound better when wall mounted than on the stand.

5 out of 5 eggsCrisp, Clear, Solid & Elegant

Pros: Speaker is rock-solid for size, and even manages to be unobtrusive yet eye-catching at the same time. Sound quality cannot be beat at this price point ($80 each).

Cons: I think it would be a stretch to use these as front speakers, unless filling a small space or on a tight budget.

Other Thoughts: Speakers are actually smaller than expected, but am extremely impressed with the sound quality this speaker produces - and can handle loud volumes! Perfect for surround speakers or Zone 2/3 speakers. I'm a huge Klipsch fan, and every Klipsch purchase has continued to exceed my expecations.

5 out of 5 eggsNice highs, good mids

Pros: Catches the highs of the Cymbals for the music my client listens to where as the larger speakers were missing the clarity of them. Mids are of a higher mid but very smooth. Very nice looking gloss black with small foot print.

Cons: None and got at a reasonable price.

Other Thoughts: I do a lot of sound for customers and some very refined set ups. these have a very nice look with removable cloth showing a very nice horn and mid so in proper environment they look fantastic. I do not think these would look great on a wall next to t.v but sitting next to it would be great. The mid as stated above is in the high end of mid and the highs are nice but remember there is no base to speak of in these so you will need larger speakers or a very good precise sub to cover the the sound spectrum totally. I have rti a5's as main and these are utilized to truly cover the upper end and the sound is great. The only little speakers I have seen do a little better are the vm 10's and not made any more. Although I build a lot of speakers I can not create a speaker for every visual need and these fit great for a very refined look with a very small footprint.

5 out of 5 eggsA Follow-Up

Pros: These have now had time to break in and sound better than ever. I am particularly pleased with how very unobtrusive they are due to their size and the flat black cloth screens. They sit there almost invisible during quiet interludes in a movie, and then POW! the sound is startling even though the wireless amp does not give them nearly all the power they could handle. They are a good fit for the Polk monitor 60 front channels, and the Polk CS1 center channel and psw10 subwoofer. I remain amazed how speakers this small can sound this good even in a rear channel configuration. While I mostly use the system for movies, they also handle all sorts of music well, though I am partial to rock.

Cons: As the price continues to fall, they become better and better deals. At two hundred, they would have been a tad steep but not a really bad deal. I got them for about half that, which was a steal.

Other Thoughts: It is almost shocking how well constructed these speakers are. They are very heavy for their size; I have seen very nice bookself style speakers four times the size of these speakers, and built by the "major players" that weigh no more. They also have a system for hiding the speaker wire that does an excellent job.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Good Speakers

Pros: Excellent construction. Small but heavy. They produce fine sound, and they are beautiful yet unobtrusive. They are the obviously result of careful design decisions.

Cons: I really have no negative comments to make about these speakers other than a cost point that is a bit high.

Other Thoughts: I am using these as rear channel speakers in a "wireless" setup, so I really am not getting full advantage of what they will do. However, I am mightly impressed by them. I was able to get them on sale at another location for almost half off. At their regular price, they are very fine indeed; at half price, they are terrific.
