In order to complete a powerful home theater system, deep, driving bass is necessary. The Klipsch KW-100 incorporates the right cosmetics and technology resulting in the ideal subwoofer for high performance configurations. This versatile piece of machinery adds significant bass impact to any home theater space.

The KW-100 couples a 10-inch driver to the floor for optimal performance. This subwoofer's high-output, down-firing design "grips" the air and fills a room with low frequency energy that's heard and felt with undetectable distortion. The built-in discrete MOSFET amplifier and 10-inch fiber-composite woofer are as efficient as they are reliable. This subwoofer accepts LFE, line-level and speaker level inputs.

Power and clarity are not the only assets this sub has to offer. The KW-100's jet ash veneer vinyl finish creates a deceivingly subtle exterior for its earthshaking sound capabilities.

  • newegg A GREAT HOME THEATER SUBWOOFER THAT DOESN”T BREAK THE BANK The Klipsch KW-100 gives you excellent Home Theater performance in a high value design. Whether using it to build a new Home Theater system, replace an underperforming package system subwoofer or just adding bass to an existing two-channel system, its applications are multidimensional.
  • newegg 10 INCH DOWNFIRING WOOFER IN A SOLID MDF CABINET The 10 inch, down-firing, fiber composite-woofer “grips” the air to fill a room with bass that is not only heard but felt as well. The solid MDF cabinet is designed for low resonance while its bass-reflex design helps to reproduce deep bass even in larger rooms.
  • newegg POWERFUL, DISCRETE AMPLIFIER The Class A/B discreet MOSFET amplifier produces 55 watts continuous output across the full bandwidth of the subwoofer’s 29Hz rated low-frequency capability. A dynamic 225 watts handles even the impactful sonic action of today’s “high definition” sound BluRay movies.
  • newegg FLEXIBLE CONTROL AND INPUT ARRAY Along with its Phase, Variable Crossover and Volume controls, the KW-100 has both low-level and speaker-level inputs, allowing for hookup to almost any type of two-channel or surround amplifier.

5 out of 5 eggssubwoofer

Pros: A very solid well defined bass for the money I paid. The subwoofer is compact and unobtrusive enough for our small (12'x15') living room.

Cons: The instructions for set-up were rather sporadic.

Other Thoughts: This is my first subwoofer ever so I cannot compare the sound with other products of similar price. At first, I was looking at products costing $1,000+ but they were all too big and 80lb+ heavy. I hope this one will play for many years to come..

5 out of 5 eggsNice Subwoofer

Pros: Seems to be well-built.
Nice sound for a 10" sub.
Great price when on sale.

Cons: power cord could be longer... not a deal breaker.
wish it was a 12" at this price.. just kidding.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing sub for the price...

Pros: Amazing bass when setup correctly with your receiver. Great price and out performs others I paid three times as much for.

Cons: Looks small compared to others I have had but outperforms them. So I would have to say I have no cons at this time...

Other Thoughts: I have had several setups on subs and I am very satisfied with this one. I had to work with my Yamaha receiver to get it playing right after the auto setup and make some adjustments on the sub also. But I am very impressed with it especially for the price. I would recommend it. You may have to work with settings like I did but it is well worth the money and time...

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT Sub at a great price!

Pros: This is a great sub at a great price. I have mine in a 14' x 14' as part of a 5.1 Klipsch setup and it sounds great. If you have a bigger room, at this price, buy 2. For me that would be over kill.

Cons: none at all

5 out of 5 eggsIdentical to the KSW 10?

Pros: I find this model to be almost identical to the KSW 10, the only spec I couldn't determine was the composition of the Woofer itself being a fiber composate cone but over all it appears to be identical in the specs.

I really like that you can change the phase of the woofer as well as tune the crossover depending on the rest of your system.

This thing brings out the deep low ends of anything I want and being a guy (with our preferances and abilities in our hearing) I dig the support of explosions and deep bass and other sounds. Totally recommended.

Cons: None that I'm aware of.

Other Thoughts: Again, this model is not exactly the same as the one I have but seems to be of the same design.

Special note. Look closely at the back of the unit and you'll see the volume control knob "Goes to Eleven"

I gotta say this has to be a bunch of the designers having an affinity for the movie "Spinal Tap" eh?

5 out of 5 eggsBoom Boom Booooooom

Pros: 10" quality sub for this price simply can't be beat. Sounds great.

Cons: 1) You will need to supply your own sub cable (any old RCA cable will do though).
3) The power cord is not very long, but this was not an issue for me (just an observation).
2) There was a small cylindrical bag of packing plastic inside the sub's "horn". Glad I noticed it - the instructions did not mention it. Not sure if it would affect sound by much, but I removed it just in case.

Other Thoughts: It has tunable cross-over frequency.
