4 out of 5 eggsReliable

Pros: Price. Reliability. Sensitive touchscreen in my experience, even though the knobs and buttons are easier to use when seeking through a DL DVD full of music. The equalizer user friendly and has seperate level control for the subwoofer. It came with all needed hardware, remote, bezel and a lint free cloth for keeping it clean. Even with all the vibrations from my system THIS DECK HAS NEVER SKIPPED ON A SINGLE CD!

Cons: The firmware loaded onto these units are kinda buggy. Sometimes when adjusting the volume while listening to a disc, the deck will glitch up and go back to the valor multimedia screen. Like it has to reinitialize the disk. Its just annoying and doesn't happen much. I've had it about 6 months and its only happened a few times. But it is the reason I took off one egg.

Also the look of the onscreen display is kida old looking. Not really what I expected from a touchscreen indash. But for $200 I'm not really complaining

Other Thoughts: Overall I think it was an awesome purchase and an excellent addition to my system.

Pros: i was very pleased with the radio. it went in very easily for me and it works wonderfully. i do not know alot about electronics and i do not have an awesome sound system, but i am very pleased with the functions and so far quality of this radio. it was an extremely good deal (price) and i am happy with the way that it looks and performs

Cons: the only problem that i have so far is that the instructions for using the radio are not very helpful. after you install it try every button in every mode to learn yourself all the different features it has.

4 out of 5 eggsGREAT RELIABILITY HOWEVER HAS LOW END LOOKS

Pros: If you want a reliable unit that always powers on and works this is a great one. For $209.00 there is little else on the market that offers a flip out screen. I've had my unit for almost a year and it has performed well. I was impressed with the quality as I never heard of Valor before i bought mine.

Cons: The looks are very generic. The unit protrudes out very far from the dash, which can help thieves see it easily, however I've had cars with 100% tint on the windows and a great alarm system and I still got my stereo stolen. The user interface looks really dated and the on screen graphics are not impressive.

Other Thoughts: This unit gets the job done with zero problems. The screen is bright and vibrant. The video out works well with my headrest monitors. It looks kinda cheesy, so I wouldnt put it in my BMW, but I would put it in a Honda.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Stereo

Pros: Simple Install, Much better stereo in the flesh, I expected quite a cheap unit based on the brand and price point.
Touch Screen.

Cons: Quite a long unit, sticks out slightly more than I'd hoped.
However the screen is Adjustable and looks nice when setup.
No Video inputs.
No Quick release feature (Although when turned off, it looks like a very generic Stereo)

Other Thoughts: As Expected you cannot watch DVD's at all without the "Pink" Brake sensor wire connected.
- Don't watch and Drive!

5 out of 5 eggsYou Can't Go Wrong for $200

Pros: It was only $200 for a DVD PLAYER! I agree it's not the most technological piece of stereo equipment as far as bells and whistles go, but then again, it's $200! It was a very easy install. Good quality in the screen. It works, which is always a positive! I know he is very happy with it. Especially since I bypassed the parking brake safety feature. (Read other thoughts for information on how to do this.)

Cons: The Aux outlet is not integrated into the head unit; it's a separate piece. The screen did not come out all the way at first. I had to force it a little bit. I found out later it has several angle tilts. I was installing this into a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500. When I was installing the unit the screen wasn't come out pass the mount... It has to be really tight and snug. I had to place a few pieces of cardboard between the mount and the unit due to the fact no screws would align to keep the mount up. If you do this, make sure to not cover the vents on the bottom. Just a few minor things, but like the previous reviewer... you get what you pay for. I still think it is a great unit so far.

Other Thoughts: I brought this unit for a friend. He was looking for a head unit for under $150 and the one he was going to buy was nice, but I told him for $50 more he could get a dvd player. He decided to adhere to my suggestion and go with it. Typical head units are like $100-$150 for a decent one, but they don't play dvd's. He is very happy with it so far.

*Do at your own risk* CAUTION! If you wish to bypass the parking brake safety feature so that your dvd player will play without being in park, all you have to do is soder the parking brake wire (pink) to the ground wire (black). And TA-DA! You have picture! I recommend sodering versus, just twisting and taping. Also, tape after sodering.

4 out of 5 eggsgood for the price

Pros: Sounds great, plays burned DVDs filled with MP3s. Video out for 2 more monitors. Tuner is very sensitive. Touchscreen works well (even with plastic cover still on). DVD quality looks great. No dead pixels, lines on screen, or other flaws. Comes with remote (in case your dash is 10ft away). Closes screen automatically. Saves place in DVD and MP3s.

Cons: Rarely opens automatically with auto option set. Has low timeout (like 3 secs) when navigating mp3s, then will switch back to current song. No video input. Had issue with it skipping on freshly burned dvd, but burned another at 2x and it has worked great ever since. User interface looks kinda cheesy to me. Sticks out of the dash a bit far. No detachable faceplate.

Other Thoughts: Very good unit for the price, but you get what you pay for. If you want a perfect unit with no issues at all look at something higher end, but it is definitely a good unit for a budget player.
