5 out of 5 eggsSolid as a rock

Pros: Strong and movement is outstanding.

Cons: Two people installation, but that is also a testament on how heavy and well built it is.

Other Thoughts: I got it on sale, but even then it was nearly $100...but had I spent twice that, I still would have been happy!

5 out of 5 eggsLevel Mount DC65MC TV Mount

Pros: This mount is heavy duty. Has enough swing to give great viewing where ever your sitting. Has enough screws to do the job. With 14", it helps out in rooms where you get direct sunlight. Wasn't to hard to install & if I needed to buy another one, I would. Plenty of room in the rear to run all your cables with no worries of damaging even the thinnest wires. In my "Other Thoughts" you might see I did some over kill but hey, I don't want to come home & see the TV hanging & as stated, since we were doing work in that room, I made sure that the wiring was well hidden. As prices fall over the next couple of years, I'll switch out the 50" for a 65" so I wont have to worry that I bought a cheaper mount. This mount fits up to the wall, it does stick out when you have it tilted to one side but like I said, we get 100% great viewing anywhere we sit. I look at it this way. We got a home with cheap wallside windows. I'm replacing them, why end up replacing the TV mount. Do it right the first time..

Cons: Offered a combo: Battery powered stud finder. This mount came with one which I found after it was all said & done.
Neither level worked properly. The mount has two built in levels that didn't match up. I stated in a older review that I had to go by the outer level to insure that the TV was hung strait. It wasn't a big deal but if your not watching what your doing, you could end up with the TV off a little bit. It does work out better with 2 people because the mount is about 45lbs. That's not really a con but rather a good thing.
When you do a dry fit with the mount, make sure you check to see if both levels match up. If they don't, make sure the outer part of the mount with it extended out all the way, is the one that's level. I did do a dry fit by anchoring it to a piece of 3/4" plywood. I actually added the TV to double check that it was level. Forget the "Easy as 123" on the box & take your time so you don't have twenty extra holes in your wall. Good luck with this great product.

Other Thoughts: We put the 50" Flat Screen in our Family room. We have a Tri Level so in that lower level there's a 6' Door Wall. Since the wall we mounted it on is on a 45deg angle- [Fire Place in the corner] which is next to the Door Wall, it was very helpful to have a swivel mount. Because we get direct sun light in that room in the morning, being able to rotate the TV gives us 100% clear viewing any time of the day. In the instructions, it states to have the mount hit at least 1 stud. Well, I'm the type of person who would rather hit 2 studs at the very least. Since we were remodeling that room & had the ceiling removed, I took out a section of drywall from the rear, used a router to notch the 3 wall studs, installed 3/4" plywood [construction adhesive was used as well], re installed drywall over it & also ran all my wiring behind the TV. No mess or wires showing. Mount holds about 200lbs- about 25lbs from the mount so I gave it the pull test. I spent $60 more for a better mount & I'm glad I did.

5 out of 5 eggsMount of the month!

Pros: This is a very heave gauge steel mount. Here is why I purchased this model. We have a Tri-Level. We decided to use a mount that you could swivel from side to side. This mount is well worth the money. I will go into detail in "Other Thoughts." If you are looking for a nice mount, this one is what I would recommend if you have a Flat Screen 50" or larger. It also has enough screw's to cover any type of TV / TV Set Up. I purchased the Mount & Stud Finder Combo. The Stud Finder sort of works. I had to look for nail pops on the wall to make sure that the Stud Finder was correct, glad I did because when I used it for putting up hand rails, the Stud Finder said I had 14" studs [LOL] I plan on returning that because when you have to double check a stud finder with another stud finder then there is a problem!!!!! I ran out of room on my " Other Thoughts" so I had to add some of the information in the "Pros" section as you can see.

Cons: There are two levels "Level Bubbles", one on the wall mount end & one on the TV mount end. I used 4 drywall screws to hold the mount in place to see how it looked. They [the bubbles] did not match up. In my "Other Thoughts" I'll address that as well.
The kit comes with extensions for the larger TV's, they should have extensions for the wall mount so you can extend it to hit more stud's.
If you know someone who lift's weight's, have them help you mount it because it is very heavy [44lbs]

Other Thoughts: 1: We have a Tri-Level. The Family Room is 12'x20'. In the corner we have a Fire Place [Where the TV is Mounted], that is on a 45 degree angle. With this mount you can tilt it so you can watch it from anywhere in the room almost directly aimed strait.
2: In my case I had the drywall off of the wall that the TV went on. The stud's were located so that when you put on the mount, it would only hit 1 stud with the mounting holes. I had to drill 2 holes in the center of the mount so I could hit at least 2 studs. If you are lucky enough to do what I had to do, I added a 3/4" of plywood to fit between the studs for added protection.
3: If you do have to drill holes in the mount so you can hit 2 stud's, I removed the TV section of the mount so I could drill strait. Just remember that there is a ball bearing piece between the 2 washers, don't loose them.
4: When you do a dry fit prior to screwing it in- [Driving it Home], make sure that the Level "Bubble" on the TV section is Level.
