Pros: . Design and functionality. I mounted it with the included vesa adapter to the back of an Acer 24" monitor. The setup looks great.
. Plenty of connectivity with 4 USB3, SD card reader, HDMI, etc . . .
. Acer Tech Support was quick to connect to.

Cons: . While I was using the second time, the screen suddenly went off, then came back with some error and a request for inserting a recovery disk. I went to a great length of times to create the recovery disk. Two windows 10 computers would download & create the recovery image fine, but would not write to disk. Two USB disks and two SD cards were used. Finally I was able to create several recovery disks and cards using a Mac Mini.
With the newly created recovery USB disks and SD cards, I tried the recovery process on the newly acquired Acer. It went thru the process of verifying the integrity of the disk, then began the process of recovery. After a while it came back saying 'unrecognized error'. Every disks and cards had the same error.
Called Acer Tech support and was advised that the product was defective. It needs be sent to repair. A brand new and expensive computer to be exchanged for a refurbished ? No way. I called NewEgg for the rescue and will be shipping out today for a new replacement. I pray that the replacement would arrive soon and won't have this same short-life issue.

Other Thoughts: I would not hesitate to purchase Acer products, if they are monitors. My past purchases of Acer Monitors have been good. On another hand, my experience with Acer Chromebooks was bad. The first Acer 15" chromebook had bad usb port. The second one lasts one day and the screen started flickering. This Chromebox was the third purchase and it went bad on the second use.
I'd would recommend potential users to search and be ready for creating and saving recovery disk. Hope that it won't be necessary, but better be safe than sorry.
