5 out of 5 eggsgood value

Pros: Runs smooth, minimum garbage pre- installed. No hardware or software issues out of the box.. good system for the price

Cons: There's no case fan. (Only a power supply fan and cpu fan) your probably wanna upgrade the video card at some point if your a hardcore gamer.

1 out of 5 eggsOnly 4 gigs of ram? What?!

Pros: It seems completely functional and fast, looks nice

Cons: For some inexcusable reason, it has 4 gigs of ram and not the promised 12 gigs I was looking for. I'm hoping this gets resolved quickly.

Other Thoughts: Honestly, it seems like a nice computer but I can't wrap my head around how the product can promise 12 gigs of ram but only have 4. Manufacturing or assembly error maybe? I don't know but it is very upsetting.

2 out of 5 eggsacer aspire m3420

Pros: this a good computer for average tasks such as movies light gaming and web surfing. computer worked great no issues. could run some modern games on lowest settings but acer destroys the purpose of the a series processors so dont expect high performace gaming.

Cons: the reason i gave this pc 2 eggs is if you buy this and want to use amd dual graphics its disabled in the mobo. so the a10 integrated graphics is useless and the mobo will not accept a different gpu. they say it has hd 7470 crossfired with 7660d integrated well thats a lie cuz its not possible and integrated is disabled. also acer customer support is horrible, barely speak english.

Other Thoughts: basically if you want something you can do upgrades to dont buy this unless you want to make the mobo your first upgrade.

5 out of 5 eggsSlightly underpowered but I can dig it.

Pros: Small, nice case, large harddrive, nice amount of RAM, HD capabilities.

Cons: The power supply is under powered at about 340w, which in gaming standards is horrid for a desktop, the Video Card is a little underwhelming, but that is easily remedied.

Sometimes the keyboard makes these strange little sounds like a pogo stick bouncing up and down.

Over all, its a good buy, knock on wood.

Other Thoughts: I bought this mainly looking at the Processor, my laptop is an A8 and I love it to death and the harddrive, (the fact that the video card is a 7000 series wasn't bad either). I'm mainly using it to play video games and use Maya (a computer animation software) so its a little under powered, but I was planning on upgrading it a little anyway.

For the everyday little things, streaming netflix, using the internet, playing with Wordperfect and the like, its great. The 12gb and the quad core make it seem a little overqualified for that but hey, its nice.

I am definitely enjoying it. There's some bloatware, but that comes off easy. I also took note that the wireless can be iffy, but a booster will fix that.

I'm loving this so far, I'll update this if anything changes.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: A fantastic value for the price. This is my DREAM machine.

Cons: Would like to have USB connectors on front of machine instead of on top.

1 out of 5 eggsIts bad, Buyer beware.

Pros: Small, cheap, nice looking case.

Cons: Most of the parts are OEM, and don't provide anywhere near the power they promise on paper. The only things so far that haven't failed me are the harddrive, mobo and ram sticks. The CPU runs like it was force-fed butter for a year (that's a technical term for sluggish and unreliable.) The GPU crashed while i was watching youtube videos for crying out loud!. The Power supply is weak by today standards but far as i can tell it works fine... if you want a desktop without a GPU or modern CPU in it, think Pentium 3 with an on-board GPU. Overall greatly disappointed. I even sent it back for a replacement, since they cannot and will not refund the product, thinking that perhaps it was defective nope its the same trash as the lats one. Up until this i thought acer was a great company, i have a laptop and monitor from them. The monitor hasn't failed me yet, thankfully. However, the laptop's hard drive has inexplicably failed shortly after the warranty expired... fancy that. So there you have it folks my story to you.

Other Thoughts: Acer lost a customer. I'm making my own desktops from now on, and if i need a laptop it will be ::shudder:: dell.

Granted i made a rookie mistake falling for such an obvious lemon those of us who are less tech savvy may see the numbers and notice how everything is fancy and yet its cheap... always do your research... I'm out 600$ and the 42 for the replacement... which also sucks don't end up in my place.

4 out of 5 eggsGood so far.

Pros: Everything worked out of the box. The fans are nearly silent. Game performance is pretty good so far. I can run Max Payne 3 on nearly max settings. SWTOR runs on high settings as well.

Cons: It comes with a decent amount of bloat-ware, including an annoying anti-virus program. 300W power supply.

Other Thoughts: This is a great computer for the price. I'll probably have to upgrade the power supply and video card in six months or so, but I knew that when I bought it.
