Pros: Physically seems like a solid machine.

Cons: A BIG SCAM. No support. No Windows KEY! Acer does not support this product. It apparently is a salvage purchased by LSI ( and something called Teleplan.
I have spent hours on hold trying to get a Windows Authentication Key. It has been 6 months

Other Thoughts: Buyer beware

5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Runs 8.1 very well. Fast internet connection, plays most nontaxing games well with a few tweaks. Very happy with my purchase. For the price I expected less but this thing is surprisingly fast.

Cons: None,

4 out of 5 eggsI like it.

Pros: Great computer for $150 and I've had it for almost a year, this is my work computer and I couldn't be happier, most of the time I have 5-10 tabs open without any issues.

Cons: It's a little on the anemic side as far as specs but I knew that going into it and for office application it's great.

Other Thoughts: I have seen this computer on sale for $120-125 recently. I thought about upgrading to an ssd drive but it's hard to justify a $90 ssd on a $120 computer.

1 out of 5 eggsDefective Product

Pros: None.

Cons: Defective product. Started resetting out of the box. Shame that Acer and Newegg would sell these kinds of products without testing. And if they tested it, someone was sleeping at the wheels. Waste of time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat low-power HTPC

Pros: Small, low wattage Haswell box suitable for 24/7 HTPC use.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Got this to replace a very old Athlon-based HTPC with IDE drives. I keep this running 24/7 with Windows Media Center under Win8.1Pro as a DVR for OTA television streamed from my network attached tuner (HDHomeRun Plus). Using an effiecient 3TB USB3.0 drive for video storage. Controls nicely with the Rosewill WMC remote control from Newegg. Really happy with the setup for what it's intended for...

1 out of 5 eggsterrible pc

Pros: Small

Cons: This PC is slow. After 2 and half months use, it suddenly stopped working. The machine was power on, but no display on monitor. Tried to go for warranty, but the PC was suddenly back to normal again while I was waiting for response from manufacturer. It stayed normal for another month and suddenly AGAIN, no display on monitor! And I am out of warranty now!

5 out of 5 eggsU CAN Install Windows 7

Pros: This is an information follow-up to my previous post.

Please see Other Thoughts!

Cons: When installing Windows 7 use all of the ACER Driver downloads for Windows 8.1 except:
NOTE: I went to the ACER site by model and downloaded all drivers first!

Use the following drivers:
a. Immediately after the Chipset driver install the following USB 3.0 Drivers
Intel USB 3.0 driver Ver: Windows 7x64

b. After USB 3.0 Drivers
Intel Embedded Video Adapter

Realtek LAN

In order to recreate Windows 8 environment must set Bios as:
I created Windows 8.1 System Recovery Media to a 32GB Flash Drive. . .
A. Authentication Menu: Ensure that Secure Boot is “ENABLED”
B. Boot Options Menu: CSM is set to “NEVER”
C. Boot Options Menu: Boot Menu is “ENABLED”
Boot from System Recovery Media
A. U.S. Keyboard (or your choosing)
B. Troubleshoot
C. Reset Your PC
D. Choose Target Operating System Win 8.1 (if drive is empty option doesn’t exist)
E. Reset PC
F. Next
G. Repartition Drive (highly recommend)
H. Just Remove Files (unless selling/disposing of machine then select “Clean Drive”)
I. Reset

5 out of 5 eggsBang for the Proverbial Buck

Pros: Small, Compact, Fast, Nice size HD, adequate memory, and a quality DVD-RW
Would you have ever thought “Celeron Quad Core”?
2 GHz System runs cool and quiet, and with relative efficiency.
I own/operate a home based computer repair and consulting shop (since 1992) and wanted to see what all of the noise is about loading/running Windows 7 on this PC . . . so I bought one (I’ll be able to sell it and not lose any money), and here we are.
See “Other Thoughts”

Cons: I don't see any and would highly recommend this system for most users.
$205 . . .and get a $40 rebate.
That would be a whole bunch of computer for just a few bucks.

Other Thoughts: Refurb: I removed all of the protective plastic from around the bezel area

First: Check manufacturer support page for BIOS updates. Just so happened that P11.B2 BIOS update was available. Shipped with P11.A3 and ACER had at least 3 in between? P11.B2 specifically address CSM in the BIOS which is critical to booting older OS’s. This validates why my #1 protocol for new motherboard, or service of current motherboard is to check for update. DO the same with “ALL” software installs.

Enter BIOS and disable “Secure Boot” (Default Enabled), Change CMS to “ALWAYS” (Default “NEVER”), and ensure that Boot Menu is “Enabled” (Default “DISABLED”) Shut system down.

Changed hard drive to new/empty hard drive and boot system with Windows 7 x64 install media in front USB port.
At start-up splash screen press F12 and select Windows Boot Media when Boot Menu appeared.

Windows 7 installed effortlessly and boots without issues.

Windows 7 Drivers (x86 and x64) for the Intel imbedded video can be obtained at:

5 out of 5 eggsGreat vaule

Pros: Cheap cost, but has quad cores did just what i needed.
no expansion but fights under TV just fine. Perfect for my HTPC and feeding networked TV tuner to two other TVs.

Cons: Came with win 8.1 and i wanted windows 7 as my Ceton echos don't work with windows 8. Had some trouble downgraded to win 7, but there is a new BIOS released that will do it now with out hacking it.

Keyboard was missing a key cover but was so cheap i would never use it any ways but for $179.00 for a complete PC is a deal.
