4 out of 5 eggsLoving it so far

Pros: Small, easy to setup, I like it cosmetically, runs smoothly and extremely quiet, hooks up to my 22 inch TV screen easily, plays the few games I play with no issues at high quality, runs logic pro 9 with no problems, and mountain lion is great.

Cons: CPU runs at about 55-62 degrees but after looking it up it seems to be normal. Also it gets sluggish if I have a few tabs up with videos loading and try to do other random tasks, I'm assuming it's the 4GB RAM though because nothing else seems taxed in iStatPro, so I have 16GB on its way as we speak.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Great! Bought i5 version and happy.
Can model and render in Autodesk Maya 2013 with no problems at all. XCode 4.6 runs just fine and even IPAD simulator works with decent speed, which is awesome.
This mac doesn't make any noise, sometimes I find myself wondering where my monitor gets its signal from. Love how fast OSX runs.

Cons: Too silent.

Other Thoughts: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mac for the price!

Pros: Love it! If you are looking for a great Mac at a decent price, this is it. The dual core Ivy Bridge i5 is more than sufficient for everyday use. Sure it's not the most powerful CPU, but it still outperforms nearly every AMD CPU on the market. What I like is that the memory is easily upgradeable, and the CPU heatsink looks easy to clean. This is actually my first Intel Mac, and I must say that the difference in performance is astonishing when comparing it to a G4. Not only that, but now I can dual boot into Windows. (if I ever need it!)

Cons: Apple needs the lower the price. Although it's a nice machine, $600 does scare away a lot of people. I think $549 would be much more tempting to people. Oh, and Apple's external optical drive is too expensive. I bought an external enclosure and used a CD/DVD burner out of a PC I had. Cost me under $25.

At $600, Apple should throw in an external Optical drive for free.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a Mac, and don't want to spend $1000, this is the one. If anything, it should last you for 5 years or more... my G4 MDD tower lasted me for 9 years! The main reason I switched is because applications were no longer being supported, and videos were becoming impossible to watch.
