This review is from: HP Pavilion M7580N(EX332AA#ABA) Desktop PC Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 2GB DDR2 320GB HDD Windows XP Media Center
Pros: It has 2 video chipsets (though the integrated one is covered up and disabled in the BIOS), and I can get both to run at 1600x1200
Cons: It has the Athlon 4600 instead of the Athlon 4400 (which was a bit slower but had double the cache, which I would have preferred).
64 bit Windows and Windows Server 2003 don't recognize the integrated Ethernet
Other Thoughts: I haven't tried the tuner card, but that is just a bonus for me, and I don't need it; the price is a very compelling even not considering that

Pros: many ports
Cons: I bought this PC few days ago. It came to me with 4600+ cpu attached, which has smaller buffer memory than 4400+. -.-

This review is from: HP Pavilion M7580N(EX332AA#ABA) Desktop PC Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 2GB DDR2 320GB HDD Windows XP Media Center
Pros: I bought the computer, it had a great processor, and I figured since it had ddr2 it was a AM2 not 939, yes it is an AM2 I checked. The video card is average, not the best.
Cons: Recieved 4600+ not the faster more expensive 4400+, called support, took about three hours to convince them the wrong processor was installed, it was like only one guy was working their it took forever for him to answer my questions. The video card is HOT, averages about 59C no load. The case cooling sucks. The case is heavier than blank, I'd say about 40lbs. No dvi on video card. Capture card is great. Dvd burner is horrible, only 8x. Wireless keyboard support is horrible especially for linux. It needs drivers all the time and when you have them it takes a while to set them up right. No floppy, no upgrade potential, like room for one pci card. The store and go harddrive bay sucks, it goes about half way back into the case. By the way the vertically mounted and screwless installation is horrible. Also it took about three hours to uninstall all the extra "needed" software.
Other Thoughts: Well on future mark 05 it benchmarked around 1900, but I have the smaller processor. The video card only averaged 9fps during the test, only 1fps on 2006. I don't know about the board support, since I never had to go into the bios. I have to say you get what you pay for. It's a nice computer for grandma's, but if you know something about computers, it's not the best. The recovery function is nice if you mess everything up and I believe most of the heat problems are somehow connected to the case design, but I returned it for the right processor. They sent me a box and just said put your tower in the box and put the return shipping sticker inside on the b ox. I'll probably give a more in depth review later.

Pros: great cpu, memory, decent size HDD
Cons: no bay for 2nd HDD
Other Thoughts: the specs say it has 939 socket cpu, but it has DDR2 memory - aren't those incompatible??? i thought socket 939 doesn't support DDR2. I'm I right?
