5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Affordable, great computer for the price.

Cons: Hard drive and memory are lacking.

Other Thoughts: I added 2 2gb Corsair memory, and it runs really well. Perfect for my application!

5 out of 5 eggsNice Machine

Pros: We recently purchased three of these machines and installed them in our business. We kept the XP and upgraded to 1GB per machine with KVM value ram. One machine came with bad sectors on the hard drive, but HP sent me another next day air. It was waiting for me when I came back to work the next day. Nice. Onboard sound, video, and NIC all work great. Machine is quiet. Does it kick all the bottom in the world? No. But for just over three hundred bucks, how wrong can you go with internet, email, and office? It's not a game machine, for sure, but if you're looking for a game machine, you shouldn't be looking in this price range. I would buy more of them. I like the ease of the hard drive cage. The keyboard and mouse feel like quality pieces.

Cons: The board has just one regular PCI slot, and while it has a nice PCI-X slot for a sweet video card, the amount of space for a bigger card is pretty limited.

Other Thoughts: If you need an office machine, buy one. If you want to play games, this is probably not the machine for you.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PC for the price

Pros: Price, decent processor, XP Pro

Cons: Not enough memory, hard drive space.

Other Thoughts: I bought this PC and upgraded the power supply to a Corsair 400W, add 2G G Skill DDR2 800, and a Zotac 9500GT video card. Add a 99 dollar Acer 19 inch LCD and you have a 600 dollar little gaming pc. Not a bad deal

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value-Nice Performance

Pros: I was a bit hesitant at first being that its so inexpensive. Ordered w. ( 2x1GB) of Kingston HyperX for a total of 2.5GB of RAM. System is stable and very fast. Faster than I expected. Comes preloaded w. XP (vista Discs). Cr@pware is minimum. Very Very Quiet. Small footprint.

Cons: would like a bigger Hard Drive. With storage being so inexpensive I don't think that's asking too much for this price range.

Other Thoughts: Ordered 12 of these. Very Satisfied
4 Ram slots. Didn't look it up but motherboard is clearly labeled (not some cryptic rebrand) Possibly Asustek

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Dual Core with XP Pro at a great price.

Cons: RAM, HD and optical drive are lowest spec.

Other Thoughts: As long as you can live with an 80GB hard drive, this is a fantastic value. I added 1GB of memory and an HP CD/DVD Burner to my order from Newegg for about $40 extra...and it's still a good deal.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for price

Pros: Great machine for the price. Good for your average internet user, Office user, etc. Put a little more memory in it and it's not bad for a little more of a "power" user. Would purchase again.

Cons: None (for the price)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat offer!

Pros: GREAT price, great price for what you get.
I have about 2 dozen customers who I steered to this machine. We put 2GB DDR2 in it and with XP the box FLIES. For single and dual cpu computers the fastest XP machine I have seen. I can't wait to see it with Windows7.

Cons: Limited expansion slots.

Other Thoughts: I don't understand why other reviewers give only 4 points. People, read the specs, they are honest!
One potential sticking point: The machine comes with MS Office Business Contact Manager and thus with SqlServer pre-installed. For a home computer: Now THAT IS gunk; I remove it all and everything is hunky dory.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Wow, good specs, very cheap price, and Windows XP Pro pre-installed!! Very happy with this purchase!!

Cons: Only 1 PCI slot. No other expansion slots--everything else is integrated. Also only comes with 512MB RAM.

Other Thoughts: I immediatly upgraded the RAM to 2GB of Kingston HyperX 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel RAM...purchased on Newegg at the same time I purchased this system, would have been nice if it was a combo deal or something.
Computer is incredibly quick now. Very impressed. Highly recommend this system as a great budget PC.

5 out of 5 eggsCompaq dual core Pro/vista

Pros: Booted right out of the box. Added 2 GB ADATA RAM and it just flies. Just what I was looking for. Pro is already loaded and good to go. Recognized my added RAM immediately with no glitches whatsoever. It's so quiet I can't even tell it is running. 60 days Microsoft Office 2007 Trial which is great because I am in school and I just lost my Office 2003.

Cons: Needs a CD/DVD burner, but for the price whaddyawant.
