Great computer for the price
- Pros: Phenom X4 processor, Seagate Barracuda 750gb hard drive, 8gb of DDR2 800 ram, Wireless N.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: This computer will suit the avg computer users needs and then some for a long time to come. It has a Phenom X4 9750 @ 2.4ghz processor which will handle just about anything you throw at it. A whopping 8gb of DDR2 800 ram, which will easily handle Windows 7 64bit and a decent Nvidia Geforce 9100g graphics card that will handle any typical graphical task with easy including Blu-Ray. The Seagate 750gb Barracuda hard drive is not only big, but fast with it's speedy 7200rpm and huge 32mb cache. The Wireless N card built in is really nice. You really can't go wrong with this pc for the price.
Love this Computer
- Pros: It has a pretty good base for me to upgrade further on and it was a huge improvement over my old HP nx7300 laptop. Plenty of storage for movies, pictures, and schoolwork. Also for me this computer DID qualify for the Win7 upgrade. I'm running it right now. I purchased this computer on 9/16 and pre-ordered Win7 from HP as soon as I got confirmation that this computer was eligible. I received my Win7 upgrade disk on Oct 2 and it runs beautifully!
- Cons: Needs a better graphics card but finding one that will fit for me and this system won't be hard. So that only kind of a con.
Overall-ok system
- Pros: The system arrived and worked correctly out of the box, was fairly easy to integrate into my network and wi-fi laptops.
- Cons: The OS does NOT qualify for the Win7 upgrade, which I thought it would. Also found out my Xerox laser printer drivers will not work with Vista Premium and there is NO UPDATE available. Will have to purchase another laster or put it elsewhere on the network and print through PDF's.
- Other Thoughts: Extremely disappointed in the fact that I will not be able to upgrade to Win7 without paying the upgrade fee. That is one of the reasons I bought this particular computer.
