The motherboard itself is capable of being upgraded to a maximum of 16 gigs of RAM (although anything more than 4 GB on a dual core processor is pointless). As for the reviewer above, all you need is a 64-bit ISO of your version of Windows 7 (this can be legally obtained through Digital River) and the serial number on the side of your computer. It will require a full reinstall of Windows 7, however, when you are done you will have 64-bit Windows installed. 6 out of 7 people found this review helpful. Did you? Cons: Windows 7 32 bit Other Thoughts: OK coming from a casual user of computers i purchased this computer for the processor speed and the fact that the RAM was upgradable to 16 GB. Later i found out from an IT tech at work that the 32 bit windows 7 will only recognize about 3.8 gb of ram regardless of how much RAM you have installed. if i had known that i would not have bought this system. other than that i have not had it long enough to have an opinion on the machine yet. i just thought that was a bit disingenuous but maybe to the rest of the computing world that is common knowledge. 1 out of 9 people found this review helpful.
