5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: This is a great computer for everything one will need in order to do basic computing for quite a while. Also it runs low-end games. It is perfect for everything I need. I play CS: S and DoD: S as well as AoE III. Yes it has 64-bit OS.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Again a great buy. Large hard drive. Vista rates at 3.6 because graphics card. I also have the Gateway 24" monitor to go with it and that thing is a beast!

5 out of 5 eggsGood Computer

Pros: This computer has everything that one needs in order to start right out of the box. This computer is good for basic computing and lower to mid-end games. I am not an extreme gamer-I play simple things CS: S and DOD: S as well as rts games like AoE III. This computer handles it all well. Vista rates it 3.6 because graphics card.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this for someone who does not have time to do a build out AND is not going to do hard-core gaming. For everyday tasks and movie watching it is great. Also, I bought the gateway 24" monitor. It is a beast! I don't think that I will need a new monitor for a while. Good Buy! Yes 64-bit.

4 out of 5 eggsGood stuff

Pros: This is more machine than most people need. Quad core, 4 gigs, memory enough for all the songs you are legally purchasing.

Cons: Video card is less than should accompany a beast like this. Tons of bloatware but this was easily removed. Vista 64? Hmm.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this computer for my business (publishing). We need new machines that could run all the Adobe c3 software (Indesign, Illustrator & Photoshop specifically) and this certainly does that. It can run with InDesign as if it were Word. I love this machine.

2 out of 5 eggsWATCH OUT - COMES WITH VISTA-64!!!

Pros: Nice 750 HD and 4 gig of ram. The system in an of itself is good - minus the OS.

Cons: This unit ships with Windows Vista-64 - but they don't tell you that and there is a huge difference from Vista-32 to Vista-64. Vista-64 does not support any 16-bit applications and most hardware manufacturers are not planning to write drivers for this OS. I found that out the hard way with a plotter cutter I purchased for my business.

Other Thoughts: The system itself is pretty good - if I had known it came loaded with Vista-64, I would have never purchased it.

5 out of 5 eggsRockin Computer

Pros: Can't say enough good things about this computer. This machine is loaded with all one will need to power game play, enjoy extremely gorgeous visuals or just surf the web this machine has all the power and speed it needs for any task. I knew Vista was ram hungry at 2 gigs min so I went with this smart package from gateway with 4 gigs. Wasn't sure I would like Vista but after playing with it for 10 minutes was totally immersed with the os. The machine has a small footprint, is virtually silent running and loads like lighting. This is the first company machine I have bought since 1995, usually building my own. But for the price lack of upgrade need with this one I'm extremely happy with this purchase made possible by NewEgg! Last years tower this years components at a super price! And last but not least New Egg is the only place I go these days...because NEW EGG ROCKS!

Cons: No cons with this baby...:) Although I did notice only one extra pci slot that looks to be blocked by the graphics card, but then I always choose motherboards with tons of pci available slots only to never use them so unless your loading up your machine with dual graphic cards and have an unlimited budget for gaming the average joe will never need the extra slots..:_

Other Thoughts: Don't want to think about how to use a computer but just want to use it. Then this bundle is one you want. New to computers can't go wrong with this baby. It has every hook up from FireWire to fashcards to a bay for portable drives. For the person with Ipods, loves to dabble with video and needs a solid machine for play you won't be disapointed with this machine..:) If your an intense gamer then you won't want this machine as most demand lot's of motherboard support for running dual or more graphic cards. Overall I'm tired of playing the upgrade game only to find out it's not worth it with the pricing of new machines so get the most you can afford, like this setup and you won't be sorry...:)
