Cons: After using my DX4300 for a couple of weeks, I started to notice increasingly slower internet speeds, to the point where web pages would fail to finish loading, and I couldn’t download software updates at all. Meanwhile, my two old computers that share the same network and DSL connection continued to handle web functions fine. Gateway customer support refused to offer any help with this problem, saying it was a software issue. After spending way too long trying many recommended fixes I found on the web (using my old PC), I was finally able to solve the problem by purchasing a new modem/router from my ISP to replace my old equipment. Still no idea why this fix worked, but my point is that Gateway didn’t stand behind their product, and didn’t care to find out if there was quality issue that could affect other customers. Instead, they chose short-term cost containment over long-term customer satisfaction and product quality. Therefore I rate all Gateway computers F minus.

Pros: 1. Super Fast with the 8 GB of Ram 2. Graphics Card is a little lacking, but for the price great. 3. Speakers sent with it are actually ok for sound quality. 4. Performance test of the computer came out to be fairly high. 5. USB slots are abundant, I don't think I could run out and they are in great spots.
Cons: 1. Took over a month to get Windows 7 in the mail. 2. Costumer Service was ok... 3. I do not like the keyboard that is supplied with the computer. 4. The button to open the dvd tray is flimsy, and you have to push it on the bottom to open the tray, press on the top, it doesn't open. 5. The card reader doesn't always respond when you put something in. Had to reinsert a SD card 10 times for it to recognize. 6. Had to make my own recovery disks.
Other Thoughts: It's a great computer for the price my family got it for. My parents who are older needed a fast computer that would last them awhile. I think this was the right decision.

Pros: This is the perfect system for movies, music, etc... If you don't do anything graphic intensive, this will full-fill all of your needs. It will run any game on basic settings (even Modern Warfare 2). It comes with a huge amount of RAM (up to 16gb) and plenty of disc space.
Cons: It's not the latest processor, but it's still quad core.
Other Thoughts: If you want the most out of your gaming, do what I did and replace the power supply and drop in a video card (I got the GTS 250 for $180 and $100 power supply) and it will run ANY game on max settings. Sure it's not an i7 or i5 processor, but to the AMD fans (such as myself), you will not be disappointed.
