5 out of 5 eggsGreat PC

Pros: Fast and reliable. I have not had any issues at all. An amazing home PC for pretty much any average consumers needs.

Cons: I can't think of any.

Other Thoughts: I use this with a nice 32" screen, which is perfect.

2 out of 5 eggsDead After Reboot

Pros: Out of the box, fired up great, got everything set up on Windows 7, rebooted after downloading 50+ updates and it DIED, Video went out and it never came back on. Boxed it up, got an RMA and Newegg has been EXTREMELY HELPFUL in providing a replacement !!

Cons: Had to ship it back and forth.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent rig but some case bits could be better.

Pros: Software load is mostly apps, not much active tray-residing sw... which means the first boot was lightning fast. for 3 days, i had running and rebooting ev 2 hours and it did so without a hitch. bios is clear and understandable, quick to access.

the bezels have lots of conveniences. the back face of the case is flush but they ADDED a lip near the top. obviously there for carrying.

Cons: all case complaints. mainly, tho, the innards are pretty cramped.

front bezel sucks. it's scary to remove. you have to just pull and hope. when the hooks finally snap out, it sounds like they broke. tech-wise, you cant replace any of the facing stuff. i changed the hd swap bay (not hot swap, btw but i think it's software) with one that i had already and it wouldn't fit behind the bezel even tho it's a flat simple face. a 2nd optical drive won't even fit there thx to the inside of the bezel.

the slot covers suck. they're perforated from the case, but they're offset inward, and the mobo is in the way. i slightly bent the pillars trying to bend it outward. easy to reshape but still.

the hd housing sucks. you don't HAVE to remove the front bezel, but doing so lets you get your finger in the front for leverage getting thing in and out. part of the housing is too close to the drive so connecting is a pita. on the plus side, there's plenty of space to the outer case so no pinched ca

Other Thoughts: forty-11 usb ports, cyclone-like cpu cooler dragging straight from the side grille, quiet fans and weighs a ton.

Only 1 egg off for the case complaints because really only have to deal with that stuff once. once you've upgraded, you can forget it really.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Intel Video?

Pros: Great price, good capacity, good features list

Cons: Display flashes intermittently when using the internet, and has done so since first use. I thought it was due to using my old monitor while waiting for the separate shipment of new HD monitor, but no.....the problem continues.

Other Thoughts: Gateway support says to do a factory system restore, but that doesn't help. Still waiting for Newegg to respond to my email requesting an exchange. Overall, disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsNice computer

Pros: I bought this for my wife to replace an aging XP machine, and this is a nice little pc. The case is small and compact with several USB ports conveniently located top front and top rear as well as various card slots and audio in/outs at the top front. Set on the floor by her desk this works well because she can reach everything she needs to from her chair without bending much (important for people with hip-replacements). It is incredibly quiet - can't even tell when it is on, by the sound. There is a button on top that turns on white LED strip lights that outline the front and top of the case. Kinda cool but when the room is dark they are annoyingly bright.

Cons: Case is made of plastic.

Other Thoughts: We have had it for about 2 months and so far have had no issues. I misunderstood the ad and thought it had a blu-ray burner, but that was my mistake - it has a DVD burner that can play back blu-ray. This machine seems to have been intended for use as a media computer, but has some shortcomings in that regard...makes a great home-office pc however. We caught it on sale and it was a terrific value.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This does look to be a good system for newer tech purposes. And people stop trying to compare it to other systems. Like someone said it is for a certain market. And changing your power supply seems most unlikely to fix your overheating problem. I can reason it out but I have hardly ever seen that. Fans draw little power. It was probably some other device that drew the power and left little for anything else. If you want a great video card in this I would definitely upgrade the PSU

Cons: I will add this from experience with Gateway systems that they do tend to have overheating issues in which each time I always find has to do with case design, user bad practices (like no Surge Protector), and environment (like placing it under a desk that is near standard room heater).

4 out of 5 eggsDecently happy with it.

Pros: Bought it on special for $499. Acer mobo 1155 socket so can be upgraded later. has blu-ray drive and hdmi.

Cons: a fair amount of bloatware that I am not used to dealing with since I usually build, but it is easily removed. did not come with recovery disk. the keyboard included is not as good as i would like, but it does work without problems despite feeling light and flimsy.

Other Thoughts: 4/5 eggs not bad for a pre-bulit computer. keep in mind this rating includes the fact it was purchased on special for $499, i could not build a comp with same specs and windows 7 with keyboard and mouse included for 499. the one i had pieced togeather for a budget build was at 560 dollars and had an amd phenom II x4 965...

3 out of 5 eggsabout the psu

Pros: To everyone complaining about this system's power supply: Yes, it's a cheap 300 W power supply. No, it's not under powered for this system. Think about it; Sandy bridge is one of the most power efficient chips ever released. This one uses the low end HD Graphics 2000. No discreet gpu. And the H67 chipset is the least power hungry out there. Also, the 95 watt label on the cpu is NOT what it actually draws. That is the TDP rating for which the cpu power delivery system and cooling system are designed. So where is all that extra 600 watts going to go if you swap out this things chinsy psu? Into the blu-ray drive??

Cons: So my point here is, stop comparing this PC to your custom built high powered gaming rig. This PC is for a specific market: People who just want the latest technology desktop that works OTB. No one who understands or cares about what's inside the case is going to spend their money on this when they could buy high quality individual parts for less right here on newegg.

Other Thoughts: This is a good pc that will play Farmville and Blu ray movies well for a few years, at which point several components will fail and you can throw it out buy the next latest innovation that's been slapped together with cheap parts and sold for a high profit margin.
