1 out of 5 eggsI don't know what to think about the computer industry anymore

Pros: Fast. Easy to set up worked for a few months with no hardships. Good graphics. Max settings on every game 40 fps average. Plenty of USB ports even though some don't work.

Cons: I've had this for a year. This computer costs $1000 plus shipping. I expect it to last me more than a year. A few months ago The computer's display drivers went out of whack and I could not watch streaming video in full screen without crashing. Now I can't even turn my computer on. It simply flashes on and off and eventually stops all together. I hope Gateway has plans to compensate me for this obvious hardware problem. Everything was working smoothly until now. I will change my review to 4 or 5 stars if and depending on how quickly and painlessly this is resolved

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PC

Pros: Great for gaming, I will say that it wont keep up next year with some newer games being released on high graphics but it will surely still play them fine.

Neat case, fast, and runs games pretty well and cheap too

Cons: Dont really have any cons with this machine

4 out of 5 eggsGood but power just went out

Pros: Great PC for high end video game playing. I run CS and L4D2 with no issues at all.

Cons: I've had this computer for less than a year and the power just went out on it. Gateway, I need some help here. I know I have power in the wall and my power strip is still in good shape. Everything else is on, but PC will not power back up. I need some support.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Computer

Pros: Very Fast
LED Lights

Cons: The only thing that is wrong with this computer is that the VGA Port is disabled which is the most common port to connect a monitor. No big deal I returned my monitor and got one with a DVI Port.

Other Thoughts: Other then the con it's a great computer and I highly recommend it.

Pros: Very fast, smart design, handy case, and seamless repair resolution that was much faster than promised.

Cons: Had a faulty hard drive, sent for repair and had to reload all info. These symptoms appeard after only one week.

4 out of 5 eggsReally good, HD7770 fell short of expectations

Pros: So, I've had this computer for over 4 months now. It hasn't failed me yet. Really good at games, such as Skyrim at max settings. All blizzard games are good.

Cons: The computer falls a bit short because of the Radeon HD 7770. If you want to get this, don't expect it to run new games, such as Planetside2 or BF3 at maximum settings. I am getting a new graphics card, the EVGA GTX 680 2GB. The i7 3770 is really good, if only it was a 3770k model, but for the price I got it, around $879.99, it was a great deal.

Other Thoughts: Will make a review on the EVGA SuperClocked+ 02G-P4-2684-KR GeForce GTX 680 2GB once I get it.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding PC for the price

Pros: Blazing fast processor speed, and with a jump up to 16GB of RAM for next to nothing I scored a 7.8, 7.8, 7.6, 7.6, and 5.9 on the Windows Experience Index. Delivery was less than a week, and the assembly was rather straight forward. So far I have been very happy with the computer and it's capabilities.

Cons: The only negative comments I have are in reference to the lack of a user's manual or on-line manuals that really explain the capabilities of the system. Gateway "rushed" to get this out and I'm hoping a decent FX6860 manual or quick start guide is in the works. The only documentation included was your standard 1 page reference sheet and a generic Gateway "Desktop PC" User's Guide that does not cover any specific components.

Other Thoughts: Gateway's customer support was excellent. I wanted to learn everything about my system, so I chatted on-line with one of their reps and he did a fabulous job answering my questions.

4 out of 5 eggsI think its a good one

Pros: I had an aging Dell XPS8100 that had worked good for the past 2 ½ years, but I wanted a new computer, so I started looking and found this Gateway. It looked like it was a great value with great features, but upon checking I found that the documentation/manufacturers support was weak. So figured that I would go for another Dell, after all the 8100 had served me well and Dell had good documentation/support, but that was a big mistake. Long story short: I bought the best Dell XPS8500 that Newegg has, but it had a major problem and I sent it back. The replacement Dell XPS8500 that Newegg sent me also had the same major problem that the 1st one had. That is when I found out that recently Dell is having lots of problems and although they have lots of support, its poor at best (see my review of Dell's XPS8500 here on Newegg under the name “Former Dell Customer”, also check out PC World and Consumer Report's review of Dell's products/support). I gave up on Dell and bought this Gateway and its been working great for the past couple of weeks. In addition, I like the case and features better than the Dell and the computer inside is built better than the Dell. I just wish I had bought this Gateway in the 1st place, that would have saved me a month's worth of Dell headaches!!

Cons: The documentation is weak and the internet reports of weak support from Gateway.

Other Thoughts: Although I an somewhat concerned about Gateway's lack of documentation/support, I figure as long as the computer doesn't have the borderline design flaw that the Dell has, then if and when there is a problem with this Gateway, I have enough computer skills I should be able to handle any support that may be lacking from Gateway. So in conclusion: I ratter have a good computer that might need support that is weak, than a OK computer that has lots of support, because more than likely you'll be needing it!

3 out of 5 eggsOverall ok

Pros: So far has been great for my families games. I purchased two initially for my husband and myself. After having them for a month I ordered 2 more.

Cons: The second batch I ordered had issues. 1 works perfectly fine the other keeps saying that windows needs to be installed. I am currently trying to figure out who to contact in regards to this.

Other Thoughts: Overall I love these. They stay cool and run well. However, 1 out of the 4 I ultimately ordered is giving me issues as stated above. As for my reccomendation.. I cannot give one yet as I have yet to get in touch with customer service in regards to fixing the problem with my son's computer. The other 3 work fantastic though.
