Not sure, optimistically pessimistic
Pros: Shipped fast, got the opportunity to explain over the phone to my girlfriends 16 year old how to put wires in a computer.
Cons: I honestly don't know what the heck she could have done on start up. I do know that she tried plugging everything in after she started it up. I explained that she was a moron that should have just waited the 2 days it would take me to get back home. Regardless she got it started and connected to the internet. Today, apparently, she fired it up and it just attempts repair, attempts recovery reboots. I don't know who's more at fault. The computer, her being a complete n00b at anything computer anything (other then facebook and youtube) or me for thinking that she could pull it off and/or it would be an easy fix if something went wrong.
Other Thoughts: The case looks nice. I've never seen it working other then the lights on the case and the gateway symbol on the monitor with all of the "windows attempting, windows detecting etc etc"

Wicked little computer
Pros: This is a cool lillte computer. This Core i3 has dual core and 2 Hyperthreads. Tons of USB ports all over the computer. The power suppy is a regular sized ATX and can be easily upgraded. It come with a wifi card which I am pretty sure also has the Bluetooth built intto it so if you remove it you lose WiFi and Bluetooth.
Cons: The slots on the back are the break away type so once you remove them you need to find a way block the hole if you remove the card that was in it. It only comes with 1 screw that is holding in the WiFi card so you will need your own if you are adding any cards.
Other Thoughts: OK so a couple of things to know. If you are going to make the default restore disks you will need at least a 16 GB USB flash drive. The Factory default restore will only image itself to a USB Flash drive. I worked with Support and it would not go on a USB hard drive. You can order the recovey media from Gateway for $20 though. The 2 memory modules the come with it are a 2 GB and a 4 GB with 2 slots left open. Not sure why but all website say the max memory for this computer is 16 GB. Intel states for this Core i3 the max memory is 32 GB. If I ever put 8 GB memory modules in this I will update my review to say if they worked or not. It you plan on installing any good gaming video cards you will need to upgrade the power supply. This was very easy to do. The case takes a regular ATX power supply. It also has an OK cable management clip inside the case that can help in keeping your wires out of the way.
