Very nice for the price
- Pros: Cheap
Efficient for most tasks
- Cons: The case is much larger than it should be
- Other Thoughts: I found this incredibility worth for the money. I did not install a windows on it because the gOS it shipped with is good enough for almost everything I do.
This is really great for a small home server(the hard disk would be a bit slow).
I changed desktop to Xfce.
I really, really recommend this to anyone who have kids or just a casual web browsing or business computer.
Works fine
- Pros: It is inexpensive and works great. Plenty of upgrade options. Uses little power. Plug it in and go. Plays DVD movies out of the box.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: This is not a Windows computer. If you want one of those, get one - don't bash this one because it's different. In this case different is good.
Nice Windows Home Server box
- Pros: Quiet, Low power use with sata connectors make this a good Windows Home Server base box. Runs fine with the 512mb ram, install was flawless. Only missing driver was sound, which isn't needed in this application. Be sure to remove the modem card.
- Cons: 10/100 networking instead of gigabit.
- Other Thoughts: Unless you have a copy of Windows Home Server, building this box will cost approximately the same as an HP EX470 once you add gigabit ethernet and a 500gb drive.
