5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Value

Pros: Just received mine today and I have to say, this computer really impressed me! Quite a step up from my other computer which I've been upgrading for the past 4 years. Everything works as it should.

Cons: Vista. But hey, I can deal with that. It's definitely not worth taking an Egg off.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad at all

Pros: For the price, this computer is amazing!
At first i was a little unsure of the Graphics Card, until i played borderlands.
Played the games on highest settings, with over 30fps!

Can also work photoshop well (500dpi images, no lag or issues)

Cons: Vista, thats about it

Other Thoughts: A must buy!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat pc

Pros: Well I just got my Pc today, and everything seems to be working fine. It's a huge upgrade from my 8 year old gateway pentium 4 512mb ram.

Cons: Power supply is only 300w, but I'll switch it out soon, so I can install a better gpu.

Other Thoughts: if you live on a low budget this pc is great for you, so don't let this one pass you by.

5 out of 5 eggsBest overall Value in the refurbs

Pros: Came with Q8300 instead of stated Q8200 (2.5ghz vs 2.33ghz). Radeon HD4350 is stronger then intel gma 3100 series pretty much across the board. Bonus in hardware blueray decode abilities. For gamers, I would buy a seperate ATI 4670, of course swapping out the powersupply will really open the range of video cards one can install. Its tough to build a machine with this power at this price, so take advantage of it.

Cons: Windows 7 upgrade expired march 1st. You would think that if this was well known they would print it on the included documentation.

Other Thoughts: For a casual gaming friend this came in at the right price point with a lot more power then they expected. Thankfully I have fiber at my house and the required service packs and utility software downloaded and installed quickly.

1 out of 5 eggsnewegg let down

Pros: quadcore,8gb ddr3,low price

Cons: delivered without a power cord, came with PS/2 mouse even though there is only usb ports. this is pretty ridiculous, this unit can be d.o.a. for all i know.is newegg or hp to blame?theyll probably try and make me pay shipping to rectify THEIR mistake.

Other Thoughts: something as simple as including the proper mouse and power cord (15a/240v) that come with the product i payed for probably would have dispelled any concerns i had with buying a refurbished product.

3 out of 5 eggsPC was FAST while I could use it.

Pros: It is a good PC for te money

Cons: Mine wouldn’t boot out the box. All I got was Long BEEPS even before the
motherboard posted.
After a while I tried again surprise the PC booted up. I did all the system
updates and I read it was recommended to do the vista Service packs before
installing windows 7. The PC died installing SP3 it just disconnected my mouse and
keyboard no response. Turned the PC On-ff all I got was long Beeps
PC is back to new egg I will try it one more time when I get it a new one back.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Desktop

Pros: - Pretty fast and VERY quiet. We can't even tell it's running.
- We received our Windows 7 upgrade in the mail without any issues. An excellent quad core Pc for the price.
- 8GB of RAM will get us through the next 3-4 years
- Internal wireless card

Cons: - If you are a gamer, plan to replace the 300W power supply and video card.
- Comes with MS Vista 64bit (blah)
- Recertified means there might be a scratch or two on it. Ours had one but it's hard to see.

Other Thoughts: Windows 7 upgrade bluescreened. We're checking to see if any software we installed caused this. Worst case, we'll reinstall 7 from scratch. Our family does IT work and while we are all capable of building our own machines, it's hard to find individual components at this price. HP has done the systems integration for you at a reasonable price so you don't have to research which internal cards might have conflicts like you would do if you were building your own. We fix machines all day so the last thing we want to do is go home and troubleshoot hardware. This machine gives us an excellent price/performance ratio.

5 out of 5 eggsExceded Expectations

Pros: The price is amazing. Lots of HD space. VERY Quiet.
Room for extra 5.25" drive. Overall nice system. It's fast.

Cons: The keyboard is very flat and weird. No 56k modem. (I still use a fax modem). Too much extra stuff preloaded. Hp ALWAYS does this.

Other Thoughts: I'm glad i bought it.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so Good

Pros: Quad core processor: My previous machine was a single Pentium 2.8 and doing any multi-tasking was aggravating. Now it is no problem, although some of the video editing software I use can still max out the processors.

I like the "personal media drive" feature that will allow me to add on a removable drive in the future without having to open the case.

I like the fact there are no legacy ports for mouse etc.

Cons: I wish there were more than one USB port in the lower part of the front panel (there are two more on the upper panel).

Other Thoughts: There is a document included with the manual that gives you instructions on how to apply for Windows 7 upgrade. I haven't received it yet but it appears that the machine qualified for their upgrade program.

Since I am now using this as a home theater PC as well, I might have looked for a machine with additional features such as a TV Tuner, a Blue Ray drive, remote control etc. assuming I could have bought one for $100-150 more. I will eventually add those products.
